Err thanks!. Well, I am just making this up as i go along, letting the act of drawing inspire a plot/setting. I guess, once I have something a little more complete, I should put something together....

One thing about the Dragon that seems odd- if he is so uncomfortable in cold weather, why not leave the British Isles and move to Tahiti?

Same reason lots of Welsh people refuse to speak english. National pride. I figure he lives in a large green house a lot of the time .

I rather like this latest, more realistic look for Albion. I like the others as well, especially the 2nd to last one (with the lion shoulder plates). Btw, don't be afraid to have him be reminiscent of Union Jack or whomever. After all, how many characters bare a striking resemblance to any number of other iconic characters? Do what you are comfortable with.
