I hope this encourages others to delve into releasing 3rd party BASH products
I'm sure we'll keep shooting em out. We are not long from our next one. We'll keep you posted.

Regards
Walt

And thanks for keeping an eye for it. We love the support.

Well, since I'm going to be doing one myself down the road, seeing how well this one does is something I need to follow. Granted, I'm not doing a BASH version to start (as I'm not as confident in writing up characters), but I do plan on making a BASH version as part of my plans.

But I am glad to see a BASH release doing this well. ICONS has been fairly dominant (even over the recent M&M 3rd releases), so seeing this do as well as ICONS stuff released around the same time is a good sign that supers rpg's have a healthy customer base right now.

Divine Madness has one in the works. We are well underway and I don't want to jinx anything by offering a firm release date, but we plan to have it in the summer and we hope that getting all the layout and style issues worked out for the first one will enable us to get future ones out quicker (as long as BASHMAN approves).

It will have over 20 fully illustrated characters, mostly villains with some heroes that will all have villain options included for them.

Hope this news is received as good! :)

BTW - I plan to put some more review comments up about Supervillains, but short version: it's awesome.

Give me a holler if you need help with the builds.

I must say I am surprised by the dominance of ICONS, but it is dominant, so striking a blow for BASH felt pretty darned good ;)

Walt is right, we are already hard at work on our next project... hope to get it out soon!

I'm not really, it's by the same guy as M&M and it will have that crowd, but also it takes elements of FATE and that's the In game at the moment.

The latter part being what I don't get, since I tried FATE and other than for a one-off I can't really see the long term appeal.

That's just me though. :)

I loved the idea for Starblazer Adventures and thought it was just great (didn't see the appeal of it in Spirit of the Century, but that's because I loved Adventure! (White Wolf) too much).

I feel though that it's a great system for A type of game, especially one where you all create the world and the narrative (which in Starblazer adventures with no set "universe" is awesome) however I really don't think it's great for everything like people make it out to be.

For one, it's an extremely high trust game, what with those Aspects, and I it's a little on the abstract for me and I come from a non-miniature high cinematic style of narrative rpgs!

THIS.
This is the key that ICONs has going for it. I (also) was not even attracted/interested enough in the system to really even read it (which is a sign to me).

But Steve Kenson's name is SOLID in the Supers world. I don't know if it's possible. If he would want to. Or if BASH! could get him - but if he were to write a Narrator's guide or perhaps aid in the update of the next rule edition of BASH!, or something for BASH! I think BASH! would rocket ahead of ICONs.

The deal is... to be 100%, I've met Steve. Worked with him on his Freedom City work. Played a play-test with him GMing. He's just a solid person. Not only a great writer/designer. Not only a great supers fan. He's just a good man.

With BASHMAN a high/close second, Steve Kenson is one of the most committed designer/writer I've seen in the industry. Like BASHMAN, his attention to his fans (on the message boards) is far and away the greatest gift and attribute he gives.

My point.
If he could/would hook up to publish and promote a BASH! product. BASH! would win. Possibly rising to the level of M&M and Champions in the superhero RPG niche.

Overall... if there could be a "Marvel Team-Up" with BASHMAN and Steve Kenson, I feel it wouldn't challenge BASH! or BASHMAN's style in any way. I feel it'd give BASH! even more "street cred".

Not to overstep, but all of that seems like a natural to me. Were I the owner of BASH!. I'd pay whatever freelance writing fees he'd have for that sort of promotion and aid in the game if he'd be open.

Who knows though. I've never asked. Steve might hate the BASH! rules. (knowing him a little, that'd be awkward and odd to me though)

my humble opinion.

just wanted to pipe in and say that it's nice to see this still in the top 10 on RPGNow. This (at least on RPGNow) has outdone the 2 most recent Vigilance Press ICONS releases from what I've seen (though I could be wrong). So it's done well in terms of recent supers releases. Kudos to AslanC and Kroh for a decent debut product! I hope whenever I get something out, it does half as well.
