A few miles into the drive, all three of you are startled by a sudden flash in the sky off to the north, miles ahead of you. You see flaming tails trail down from the fireball, flickering and winking out as something large explodes and burns itself out in a matter of moments.

"Mierda!" Javi yells as you three watch the display. Just as suddenly, Javi's eyes are drawn back to the road just as the pavement buckles and cracks, and a pillar of rock, strangley humanoid in appearance bursts from the ground just feet in front of your speeding car.

Nestor: Roll your agility + drive to try to dodge the rocky creature in the road! (Should be x3 not x2; just looked at character sheet)

Everyone else will get to react after this turn, assuming Javi doesn't kill you all with his driving.

Also, assume everyone is at full hits.

(I'm already hating Danger Sense! I keep forgetting, I'm sorry, I'll try to remember from now on. I'll have Javi's action bump to superhuman from tough.)

Overdrive yells to Javier over the tejano music, "Javi, slow down, something's wrong!"

"Huh?" is Javi's only response as the ground erupts in front of the car. He cuts the wheel and brakes hard, skidding sideways but missing the rocky being by inches as the car slides up onto the curb and screeches to a hault.

Regaining your senses, you all turn and look out the back window onto the street lit by a dull orange streetlamp at the thing standing in the road. It looks around (confused?), then turns to the car and lets forth a roar as loud as a rocky landslide.

(Volsung reacts first, Boost and Nestor go at the same time after him. The thing goes last.)

[Heh. If I was a total stinker, I'd mention the fact that the Chevy Nova is a two-door compact and that means someone is stuck in the back seat until the two in front get out.

Edit: Oops, I stand corrected. The '80s models were available with four doors. What can I say? My own experiences with Novas were all back in the 70's.

(An explosion to the north? Can we estimate the distance more precisely ? There's a neat difference if it happened in a deserted flat land or in the suburb. Moreover, Harrison won't horse around if his own local just exploded.)

Harrison/Overdrive casually steps out of the car as his body slowly transform.
He foresees the delight of adrenalin.
//Really, fireworks and a stone golem?! You Must Be Kidding! That's an invasion!//
To the goliath, his own aspect still changing he declares out loud:
"If there's a Nova behind this , We mean you no harm! We're a charming gang of good doers!..."
He noods gazing out the incredible creature that's right out of ...mordor.
"If not well...Well... welcome to earth...rocklord...Make yourself at home... "
(Apart from wise-cracking his only action is to get out of the car while transforming)

Javier exits the car with a curse. He spreads his arms as flames lick his hands.

Following Harrison's speech, he adds, "And if you're here looking for a fight, get ready for a napalm enema!"

[Javier delays his action to see what the boulder does.]

Overdrive raise an eyebrow and look at Javier with a nauseated face.
"A napalm what?! Cuate that's gross. We're heroes! What about..."
He imitates the tough latino's voice.
"I'll go Chuck Norris on you ¡Neta!"

Javier looks inredulously at Overdrive. "What'chu talking about, vato?" he argues back. "Chuck Norris is a *, man! Bruce Lee kicked his * three ways from Sunday!"

Jason climbs out of the car, "Bruce is a legend, but Jet? Jet's borderline Nova with his skills," He replies as he joins the others, "That skin problem offer any protection?" Jason adds as he observes the rock giant, extending his hand in hopes of a little help.

(If Overdrive agrees I will take, what I believe is, armor, and boost my agility/brawn as appropriate.)

"Word," Javier agrees emphatically with Jason.

Eying the stone monstrosity facing them, Javier grimaces, saying, "Aw, the f**k with it. Stand back, I'm gonna see if I can dissuade blockhead there from getting close."

A line of fire springs up between the group and the creature, forming a burning wall.

[Using my action to summon his Firewall power, blocking the width of the street and curving around the monster.]

The sleeves of Javier's shirt burn away, revealing the twin lizard tattoos lighting up as if they were also aflame.

(Hey Nestor, you can't hold your action AND create a wall of fire! I'll assume you want to go with the wall of fire though.)

Javier waves his hand, his tatoos burning brightly in the night, conjuring a wall of fire between your group and the rocky being.

Another gravely roar escapes from the creature's mouth, then a deep voice yells something...in Russian? Bulgarian? Definitely eastern european, and angry! Having expressed his anger, it turns and begins marching across the street, tossing aside a car that had the nerve to be parked in his way as easily as you might toss a folding chair.

Leaving the street, it begins to clump through a parking lot towards the WalMart, knocking aside parked cars and tearing up the pavement with each step.

It's not very fast, so feel free to manuever however you wish. Same order, Volsung, followed by Boost and Nestor.

Also, what power and level does Jason (Boost) absorb?

"Ok, it's a no brainer.Did you know that, for lethal weapon he had to 'slow down'? 'cause his moves were too fast for the camera?!" (authentic)

Amused, Overdrive gaze at the pleading hand and smile widly.
"'That' skin problem my friend is pure badassity." he utters
"Bearing my armor is such a dose of awesomness that it will let you deprived...Asks the girls." (Barney...get out of that body)

Leaving the street, it begins to clump through a parking lot towards the WalMart, knocking aside parked cars and tearing up the pavement with each step.

"Wait, that thing got a purpose...a mission"
He looks at the walmart (deserted at this hour?).
"And I don't think he's going there for a booze. "
//We should take down its master too//

He claps Jason's hand in an high-five.(I did it!).
"Have fun but behave, it's also my trademark"

Than Overdrive litteraly hurls himself in the sky (aka super jump) towards the creature.
His euphoric call deadens in the distance."Geronimoooo!"

(During the jump, does he spot the germanic master?

Seeing the monster turn its back to the group and commence rampaging through the parking lot, Javier mutters as he lets the wall collapse, ego slightly deflated, "Well, f**k me Louise."

He runs after it, trying to yell to the airborne Overdrive, "Hold on, dude! Let me see if I can box it in!"

The Latino stretches out a hand, and another Firewall springs up, this time in the rock creature's path.

[Ugh. Don't have the book with me this very second. Can I use the Firewall to fence Rocky in? In other words, have the ends of the wall meet up to form a closed circle?]
