The three in this image are Aray (War), an Armenian God, Lamashtu (Pestilence), a Mesopotamian Demon/Goddess, and Bres (Famine), a Celtic God/Fomorian
I finally got Brian to do the final piece. Here is Manea, Etruscan goddess of Death:
And being Horsemen, here is an image of their mounts, created from Fire Opals, and magically given life....
Here's a composite of a group Joe is in the process of drawing for me. The group is called the Black Ace Gang, and is inspired by a group that once fought Captain Marvel Jr in the Golden Age. The original group had no powers and were no real threat to Cap jr. Still, the concept of the group was workable with heavy modification for the modern day. From left to right is Queen of Hearts, King of Clubs, Jack of Diamonds and Black Ace:
I've always felt card-suites are a great idea for superheroes. They're both flashy and universally recognized. There's also DC's Royal Flush Gang, that was so well used in the Animated Justice League.

I love the Royal Flush Gang. I always liked them in the comics. The original group I based this group on predates them, as they are from the Golden Age. It's interesting how a good concept with bad execution (as the original group was kind of lame) can lead to the creation of something interesting
