Golden Age Champions/BASH

Post by Solarblast »

So with the new Against the Axis kickstarter coming up and hoping for a BASH edition like what was done with Extreme Earth I thought to go back to my Golden Age Champions book for 4th edition and do some converting.

I ran a GAC game for about 2 years or so and that is long campaign for me. We played form 1940 to 1945. I started it as a homeland game of civilian superheroes and then when the US entered I had a special squad of supersoldiers working for the O.S.S.

So here is the first on the team known as the CrimeBusters.

Fletcher
Once a hollywood star Douglas Milner was beloved by his public for his good looks and great acting. But he also had a dark side, he owed money to the mob and they sent Bubba "Bubbles and Bonecrusher" Rastello to deal with him. While he was being beaten to death Milner's fiancee walked in and was killed instantly by the enforcer. Douglas was then drowned and in east river, never to be seen again. Until months later when he returned as Fletcher and started a one man vendetta against the mob that ruined his life.

Originally a petty theif and pickpocket in the days of the Arabian Knights Saladin was tricked by a sorceror and his giant thief servant into retrieving a magic lamp. He went to steal this lamp from the Kali and an array different monsters and deadly traps until he found the lamp. So Fletcher and Saladin are characters from your home game? They're cool. They have really good golden age origins. 8-)

Oh Man, this was one of the few 4th Edition Champions Books I could never get (my local bookstores all closed. :( ) Nice to see stuff from it! Maybe I'll complete my collection with online help one of these days.

Here is Leaping Lizard, really liked this character but then I have been a brick fan.

Leaping Lizard
While working in a secret government lab Marvin Pickering was playing with all the scientific experiments for weeks at a time. The one day as no surprise he fell violently ill and collapsed. He found after recovering that he was at the same time gaining superhuman strength and getting fired. It wasn't until he came later to pick up his paycheck that the scientist then interrogated him as to how he got his powers but he couldn't remember how he actually gained them. He was then after leaving again intercepted by two FBI agents Sears and Kenmore. They offered him a job as a federal agent and a superhero. He then became Leaping Lizard!

Are these also Golden Age Champions characters? If so well done. :) But recheck their skills slots, I think Lizard is missing one and Owl has too many.

There's a few errors on Captain Future (I think):

*You can't have a Power inside a Multipower link to another Power in the same Multipower. However, you CAN link it to a Power listed outside the MP. The effect is the same, both Powers can only be used together.

*Also, the Link cost is added to the most expensive of the of Powers, the Special Attack in this case.

*You need two more Skill Slots, so raise his Skillful to level 2.

But overall, nice job! :)

Powers inside a muli power can be linked. I just would write them on the same bullet point.
