Based on my thread over on rpg.net, a simple set of questions:
1) When you play BASH, do you use a Battlemap with actual squares (i.e., rather than just a loose sketch of the area with non-specific distances)?
2) If so, why? (If not, I think I know why not.)
3) If not, do you find that it affects choices in chargen re: speed of movement or the area effect of powers, since specific distances aren't really being measured?

1. Yes, about 75% of the time; I use various ones that were made for D&D and HeroClix, but also the kind you just draw with dry erase markers.
2. Personal preference
3. Not really; even without maps and minis, relative speed in movement is important; for instance a chase scene might hinge on one character's Flight 4 being better than an opponent's Flight 3.
