The intent there was that cold attacks are basically draining kinetic energy - that is what cold is, really. It slows molecules and removes energy from the target area, so it's kind of an anti-kinetic attack. Unlike most other attacks that possess/impart energy and can in theory be manipulated by him, cold attacks effectively bypass his active defenses.
I wasn't sure for the force field if it should be totally ineffective against cold, or have a weakness to cold (as per the Stellar Sentinel archetype). I ended up going with the later, primarily because of the archetype example, but am still considering if the first option would be more suitable.
EDIT: Oh, and to clarify the Kinetic Energy mastery, I made it a broad category mastery because I see it including elements of force (obviously), heat and movement. Similarly his special attacks has the variable enhancement, which I envision including raw force and/or heat attack descriptions.

Next up: Valkyrie!
I've always wanted to do a Captain Marvel homage, and I like Norse mythology, so I just had to do it... I'm really pleased with the activation word / acronym, although I had trouble with the R - there aren't many things in Norse mythology that start with R...
She relies on the optional rule where extra advantages can be paid for at a cost of 1 point each. Several of the "powers" she gets are actually advantages, but they are listed and paid for in the powers section since they are really part of the powers she gets when in her super form. She doesn't have them in her normal form.
The weakness is an expansion on the myth of Balder's invulnerability, where his mother Frigga extracted promises from everything in the world to not harm him. However, according the myth, she missed mistletoe and therefore he remained vulnerable to it. In this version, it is a broader omission (I didn't think "mistletoe" would fly with GM for that point value! ), where Frigga didn't really think vegetation was a threat to a god, having not foreseen the rise of supers with plant control powers!

But that's why I chose it! The whole thing is a Captain Marvel / Mary Marvel homage, so it's like the way Deadpool's real name is a play on Deathstroke's.AslanC wrote:Oh and I wouldn't call her "Mary" since it makes me think about Mary Marvel.
Although maybe something close-but-not-quite, like Maria, would be better. Hmm...

Thanks, all!
As for rpg.net, I don't know if I have an account there. It's so busy I never feel like I can keep up, so I don't know if I ever bothered. I'll check it out, though.
Actually, it was intended to be Omnipotence 5; I just keep making that mistake because I really think of it as Omnipotence 1 (ie, provides 1 rank of benefit) that costs 5 points to buy. It's a 5 point multipower, so Omnipotence 5 can fit there.BASHMAN wrote:I love these too (feel free to post them on rpg.net as well- there is a thread there where people post their archetypes). About Omnipotence though- it is bought in 5 level increments- so you cannot have Omnipotence 1- but you can have Omnipotence 5.
