Hey Dustland... may I ask, why you're building Osmium with Density + Shrinking? I kinda understand Flight + Density. But I'm unsure what the Shrinking is for.
Not questioning your idea - just curious.
Also... what's "Osmium" (am I missing something or just thick? hehe).
Okay... I didn't have time to build my stats tonight (but still can't sleep, ugh!!) I might be able to have it tomorrow night (Saturday), if not it may have to wait until as late as Tuesday-Wednesday (I hate work/life sometimes!).
Anyway.
A few more quick briefs to see if any idea POPS for this game plan.
"THE DREAD"
[as noted up-thread]
"PROTO SAPIEN"
Young normal man with the ability to "devolve" or "evolve" [shapeshift] into forms of his furthest states, either: a neanderthal-brute with simian-type fighting ability and massive survival abilities OR a big-headed invalid future version with abilities of massive mind powers and intellect. Each actually a real "taken out of time, alternate dimension" version of him (ie. they know of each other and at times don't like being "shunted" back! sorta like the Hulk/Banner relationships)
"UPROAR"
Man with the power to blast chilling-tornado like winds and minor air control. Though his powers are somewhat uncontrollable (Disads). His horrible secret is in times when he goes most out of control or when asleep/unconscious he transforms into a raging living storm, a creature of animalistic-intelligent mother-nature (basically like the Savage Hulk) that the media has dubbed "CATACLYSM". The worst part is the torrent after-effect of turning into this being washes him with amnesia... so he may feel himself changing and rush to restrain himself, but if/when he turns... afterward he wakes not remembering what happened or that he changed (or is that being) at all!
"KUNG FU KID"
Likely the premier martial artist and freerunner in the world - his chi is so focused and his speed so quick that it "seems" and looks like his punches/kicks are coming from a distance (they actually are with Range Special Attacks, described as moving attacking and moving back from 10-20' away). His abilities aren't about "power" of the punch but multiple strikes. But he also can focus/specialize to destroy collateral (ie. karate-chopping a car in half, etc...)
"THE TRUTH"
His ability is described as knowing "everything"... This comes out as a high intellect and detective ability. In action, his ability comes out with Leadership ADV and Boost/Weaken (others) as he seems to know what attacks/actions are happening split seconds before they happen and yells out what's going to happen and how to counter it - to teammates/adversaries to improve/weaken them.
"MR. MACHINE"
Simply the total control of anything with a mechanic involved, from super-computers to the most simple working-gun mechanism (though not A.I. controlled robots, etc...), but the higher the level of machine the more difficult to control. The neat thing is he can "see" (sense) through machine's "eyes" (senses) and machines actually to talk to him (complete with their own personalities)!! Although this may be a delusion in his mind!!
"FAST"
Born only 4 years ago, but aging 5 years for every real year! He's still much a kid at heart (though his Mind/personality caught up to his 20 year old physique). His tag-line... simply: "Hi. I'm FAST!" ... and he IS. He's so fast (super speed/running and teleport) that he literally can (and does) run around the world between in-combat Panels simply to punch someone! The thing is... he can't stop and is very very uncontrolled (ie. clumsy, prone to trip or run into things - badluck) and at best, even in his normal identity can only communicate in fast one sentence blurbs (doing a circle around you while talking), because he has to continue running! It's a curse and a blessing, he loves the speed so much he just deals with the HUGE downside with a grain of salt. "Live FAST, die young, leave'em in the dust!!"
thoughts???
On the concepts? On the powers to stat out?

So, does he actually "shrink" to the size of a little cannonball? (like the 8-pounders from pirate ships?)
Still only curious.
I had a villain almost like this in an M&M game awhile back. He would shrink down to the size of a bullet and literally fly super-fast THROUGH people/things!! I think his name was "BALLISTIC".
He was a sick sick homicidal maniac type villain, that only the villain-team leader could hold back from not killing people left and right (think early Sabertooth mentality).
Second, I liked the idea of a super becoming a living cannonball, small, dense, and flying fast through the air.
A long while ago, I had a similar character. We called him bullet.
CATACLYSM
This character would be incarcerated like Phoenix, Jean Grey. It could become an NPC for the period of the Dark Phoenix Saga. I don't think it would be a good teamwork concept.
FAST
Too young and immature to join the team.
Bottomline, you are asking my opinion about what fits better in a team environment. However, you can literally run anything without restriction, as long as their Mental Malfunctions allow teamwork and heroic intentions, as detailed previously.
"FROGGER"
With the power to turn into essentially a "were-frog"!! Lots of "slick" martial arts type ability and a spiderman like agility style with some croaking surprises...
"TANGENT"
A lady with several mental powers, specifically the ability to remove short-term memories and make adversaries forget where they are or what they were doing to confuse them!
"HERD"
A man with the ability to transform into swarms and herds of animals, insects, birds, fish (living creatures). Combining Shapeshift + Duplication (to have many many minions).
"UPSHOT"
Totally Normal guy... except his luck is extreme. With this concept, it's all about exploring the use of how Hero Points/Dice work. Essentially the character is B1/A1/M1 [6pts] and off-setting ADS/DISADS (Leadership/Normal, etc...). His POWER is actually using Hero Points (or dice) as needed for luck in action, with 30-6= 24hps + 5hps (for the issue) + 5 hps for Leadership = 34hps to spend! Perhaps lowering that total a little to take either/both Skillful and Healing.
I'd be curious to see if a character like Upshot could really survive in a supers game. I'm doubting it, but it would be interesting. I vote Frogger though, there's just too much fun to be had with the concept!
So, does he actually "shrink" to the size of a little cannonball? (like the 8-pounders from pirate ships?)
I invision him shrinking to the size of a cue ball, so I guess that'd put him in that size range.
If you're are still ready, I'll run my adventure with just you two. Please confirm, and we can get started.
cheers
Sorry I've been unavailable. If you follow the weather, you'll be familiar with the blizzard that hit Seattle/Olympia. I just got power back today from last week. but due to other scheduling (ie. work) I'll be able to post full stats, etc... Monday.
If that's too late cest la via, soldier on without me.
1) You can see one stationary security camera watching the door
2) Yes. There's an electronic keypad under a weather guard and a key lock. The door is a metal and probably has one of those emergency push bars on the inside that sounds an alarm if opened.
