Figured I'd share this, because I consider it to be special. Unless Dustland corrects me, this is the first piece of cover art he's done (or second if he did one for Bad Sports before this was finished). I think he did a pretty good job, and hopefully I will finally start sitting down and writing the project that this is the cover for. Until then, enjoy!

The tentative title is "The Saurian Invasion. Dustland did all the art for it, and he did a real good job. The Lizard dude has a magical sword, which does kind of look like a lightsaber in that image!

I have to give mad props to Dustland for his work for me. Well done art, and he did everything fairly quickly. Now I just need to get the writing done, get help laying it out, and release it

no man! You're doing it wrong. You are supposed to write and edit and then wait months for the artists to get back to you. Sheesh...

great image.

Meaning my first one sucked! I'm kidding (I hope) and I've enjoyed working on the fantasy pieces a lot. Doing these illustrations for Urbwar is what got me interested in doing the fantasy book I'm working on now.

And of course thanks Urbwar for the encouragement and opportunity!

Since you brought it up and it's inching closer to completion, here's the cover art for Bad Sports:

Awesome! The lines are very clean and colors look great. The running pose is excellent. The background seems to make the featured character a little hard to look at though. Everything else is awesome!

I think it’s a great fight scene. The Badge looks great and I think that the lizard foe looks awesome. Except that the piece is in colour, The whole thing reminds me of the great art from early, 1st edition, D&D. The scene has the same feel as some of the WWII battle scenes I remember watching from the old reels as a kid (the ones where so much of the city is in ruin and the night sky is lit up from all the fires). It could be helpful if there was a little shadow beneath the two figures (but that is a small quip really).

A lizard guy a super… I’m kinda curious about what this story here is.

It's the cover for a project Dustland is doing all the art for. It is kind of a war themed project, as it involves an invasion from another dimension (ie the faction the lizard guy is part of). It has some ties to my Cosmic scenario (which I took inspiration from for the motivation of the villains in this one when I had Dustland start to do the art).

The cover isn't for the cosmic scenario; the scenario it's for has ties to Plague of Darkness, which I have an AP on. I would have liked to get starting on that, but I haven't heard from CuMorrig in awhile, and he was doing the art for that. The behind the scenes bad guys behind that one are the same ones behind this one.

Crazy week! After trying for two and a half years, my wife is finally pregnant, woo hoo!

Trying to get the ball rolling once again to wrap up this viking inspired monster folio. Here's the 90% completed skeletal warrior/tomb guardian (yah, there's a real name for the creature, just don't have my notes at the moment).
