Fenris is a bit dazed by the chaos. Remembering that most animal's rally to the queen's defense, he bounds toward Original Eckel looking for a suitable blindfold and bag to put over his head to contain his piercing eyes.

Do I find one? Do I still have an action? If yes, can I put the sack on his head and punch his lights out?

Sure, Saker finds a garbage bag in a trashcan he's standing next to. If he wants to sack 'em and punch 'em, go for it. Seems kinda mean really

Fenris is currently mean. He grabs the garbage bag, sacks the Original Eckel with it, and knocks him out. "Hopefully, the other Eckels revert to normal when the Original is dropped like a sack of potatoes."

"What the?!?" Mr Eckel exclaims as the bag is placed over his head. With a growl, Fenris clobbers him and he drops like a sack of Eckel.

And the mayhem continues unaffected around the heroes...

Overdrive's next!

Overdrive exclaims thunderstruck.
//Think think think Harry! What else have we got? We'ne not beaten yet. This infection must be stopped at any cost.//

Suddenly he yells at Javier standing in the breach in the wall.
"We need Michel's gun! The one he used against the Rock-Man! He may be in the ward...And he's probably infected!... as I am..."

(He tries to reach Javier, unless he sees someone who can really be saved in the chaos...unlikely since an eye contact is enough to seal their doom...)

"We need to find the Doorman." Fenris says almost to himself as he picks up the sack of Eckels. "Overdrive, we have to go to the jail where they have the lab. They have gizmos that can turn off nova powers. It may be our only hope!"

Fenris heads toward the group, so they can go to the jail as a team.

Attention Novas! Everyone feel free to post what they would like to do at this point. If you want to continue pounding Eckels, I'll do that. If you want to go with Fenris, cool. If you have other ideas, now's the time to share them!

(Well, Overdrive's only clue is Michel's anti-nova's gun.
But as Fenris shares his knowledge, he'll follow the better/safer plan...eyes closed. There's nothing more we can do here...)

Reluctant to unleash his powers against another human being, Javier ignites an area in front of the police car, trying to melt its tires and stop its charge.

[Let me know if I need to roll for that or if it's just a flavor thing.]

He looks around. "If we have the original guy, we need to keep him under wraps, don't we?" Javier asks in harried concern. "I mean, if we're going to zap him or something."

Shivering, Overdrive manages to blindfold himself.
It's the first time he has to fight such pain and exhaustion in his so-called heroic life.
The sick presence in the back of his head is quiet for now but he can't know for sure if Eckel won't try to take control in an instant of faintness.
But there's no time to think about this. The disease is spreading quickly.

He put one hand on Javi's shoulder. (Blindly!)
"You had no choice compadre... desperate times calls for desperate measures..." he says.

Javier shrugs the hand off with a brusque motion.

"It's no big deal. We got bigger fish to fry," he says gruffly, if not necessarily convincingly.

"What's the plan, guys? It's not gonna get any better the more we wait."

Javier waves his hand and a field of intense flame erupts in front of the fleeing police car. All four tires blow and the car careens as it tries to drive around another patrol car, crashing into a concrete pillar.

The dazed driver and passengers stumble from the car and fall under a hail of bullets from Capt Marshall and his remaining men. It looks as though martial law is in full effect.

You all gather on the now empty lawn of the hospital, all of the Eckels having fled or been killed. There's very few untouched people remaining, Eckel having spread quickly it seems.

Capt Marshall comes jogging over as his men try to establish some sort of perimeter around the hospital, though they're too few in number to effectively cover the building.

"Well, yah, now we're screwed," he sighs and shakes his head. "And what the *'s that?" he motions towards the sacked Mr Eckel with a submachine gun.

Fenris casually replies, "that's the Original Eckel." He pauses for dramatic effect for a panel of just that. Even calm, Fenris would look awfully feral.

"We need to get to the jail." He continues, "the lab there has a gizmo that can suppress Nova-ness. I think it's our only hope to turn this guy off, because unconsciousness doesn't work. Do you want to call ahead and get it ready?"

His steel-blue eyes glitter with rage as he snaps the gun to a firing position and is about to execute the unconscious man...

Javier's voice cuts through the air like a knife.

"Shoot him and they'll be scraping your carcass off the ground with a spatula," he says evenly, flames licking up his arms as the tattoos writhe in the heat.

He steps forward in the line of fire and stares right into Marshall's eyes. "Why not use your fancy toy and take away his powers? Or do you just get off on shooting defenseless people?"
