I'm a little confused.
Does this mean the book is done? Last I saw there were alot of "spaces" left open for character buy-ins. .... So... I haven't yet finished my character idea to send in.
Did I lose my place then, when this is published?
Or do I still have time to send the character in?

I think #1 only covers the first 10 characters, not the 50 originally planned. Not sure of more details, so I am sure Chris will provide all the correct info shortly

Yup this is the first 10 characters in pdf form that we intend to use as a way of promoting the book so we can fill the open slots. I know I have drawn more than these ten but know there are slots still open so PLEASE send your characters in. I'm sure BASHMAN can shed more light but as i was here I thought I'd put my 2 pennies worth in.

Kev- the people who pre-order a hardcopy are ordering a physical book with 50 characters. Those 50 are being divided up into 5 ten character packs that are pdf only.

When you pre-order a hardcopy you also get the pdf that includes your character free.

Each pdf includes numerous storylines featuring the characters. About 3 scenarios featuring that character as an NPC that the PCs might run into, and then about 45 total where each character has a Tussle or Team-Up with one of the other characters.

So the PDFs have some extra content to them. The production cost of making the full color Cavalcade compilation would make it prohibitively expensive to add those extra pages of storyline- and since storyline stuff is just black & white anyway, it's wasteful.

The plan for the Cavalcade Compilation is to produce it loose-leaf so that you can keep the characters in a binder, similar to how the old DC & Marvel RPGs character books were. Who knows- there may be more similar products in the future- so you can add more characters to the binder as time goes on.

I really like this idea! I hate carrying around and flipping through a book to reference one or two pages of info.

BASHMAN.... this sounds like the best product I've heard planned for BASH! Count me as VERY excited. Now I have to narrow down my choices for which character to (finally) submit!! arg!! too...many....ideas!!

Quick contest!

I Need just 5 more plot seeds to finish the first Cavalcade PDF (almost 70 have already been written!) Whoever provides the best 5 that get used in the PDF will get their Cavalcade Pack 1 PDF for Free!

The plot seeds must involve a crossover between (See earlier posts for images of characters):

Mass Attack (Angry, hulking blob of a villain) & Iron Mandarin (Asian Power-Armored / Ninja / Magical hero- son of Cyber Ninja Villainess & Sorcerer Villain)

Iron Mandarin & Benny the Bomb (Imagine Scarface... with exploding powers)

Leviathan (Mystical water-controlling Heroine) & Battery (Energy Absorbing Anti-Hero who gets "high" when he absorbs energy, with a biker motif)

Leviathan & Frost (Demon-hunting mystical hero who can turn into smoke & absorb strength)

Leviathan & Nangwaya (African Hero with magical Lion's tooth that give him heightened agility & senses. Also a master martial artist & stuntman).

Generic plot seeds will also be considered if they can be adapted.

Well I've had somebody say they *might* buy 5 more slots, after they already bought 5. So if they don't buy any more that puts us at like 27, and if they buy the 5, that puts it at 32.
