I have a very hard time not jumping on any PbP bandwagon, so here I am with my two cents.
I prefer your first idea for several reasons:
1. It feels like it will be a 40 pt world class game, which we haven't run very long here. The Golden Age will be 25-30, and Dustland's Novas is 25. Therefore it would be a good to showcase another point range.
2. Depending on timeframe of your Megapolis prison break, it would impact the Living Megapolis plotline. Not Crisis of Infinite Worlds, but something to consider.
3. I like the idea to interact with canon characters like Spidey and the Avengers. It immediately fills up the universe in four-colors.

Any other suggestions for genre/style for a new BASH! PbP that I might get excited to Narrate?
PS...
I would also Play-by-Post the game and also invite doing a live online game as part of the same game sometimes, maybe like once a month or so. Mostly 'cause I'd like to learn and get experience with both.
