Steven Universe!

Post by Sijo »

I'm sure at least some people here have heard of this show, it is currently very popular. But for those who have not: SU is a homage to many things, including superheroes and Anime. The best part is the characterization; even the most seemingly perfect character in the show has flaws and secrets. The bad part (in my opinion) is that, while it has very interesting mythos, it takes FOREVER to develop them. Thankfully, they have done so recently, which motivated me to finally work at adapting the characters- in BASH terms of course!
Let's start with Steven himself: https://elsijoblog.wordpress.com/2015/1 ... rpg-rules/

More to come! :)

OK, now that I (FINALLY!) have access to all BASH rulebooks, I'm ready to continue with my adaptations. Today I bring you Pearl, who is my favorite character in Steven Universe. What can I say? I guess I like my women smart, powerful, and slighty neurotic. ;)

Very nice, though I'm not familiar with this series.

Thanks! I highly recommend the show; it's both a source of good ideas AND fun to watch. Definitely not just a kid's show!

You might also notice that some of the stuff I have been asking questions about lately (Like Alterations and Equipment) have made their way into these build-ups. ;) I'm especially proud of using Instant Change for the Gem's Fusion ability.

I'm on a roll! I have already statted up my next SU character: Garnet, the leader of the Crystal Gems (after their original leader, Rose Quartz, died.) You can find her here: https://elsijoblog.wordpress.com/2015/1 ... t-in-bash/

As usual, comments are welcome (in particular: did I get that Gadget Bundle/Multipower right? It was tricky to design.)

My final Steven Universe adaptation (for now) is Amethyst, the most outrageous member of the Crystal Gems: https://elsijoblog.wordpress.com/2015/1 ... t-in-bash/

There's plenty of other interesting characters in SU I want to adapt to BASH, but I have other stuff to do right now. Once again, comments are welcome!

And the SU adaptations return! This time instead of adapting a specific character though, I decided to try my hand at doing a BASH Archetype for the whole Gem race:
