I'll need something clarified on how to teleport an unwilling target. Hopefully it will be answered quickly on the forum but there are a few actions that will need to be resolved first so we have time.

Javier, unsure of Nycto's plan but ready to help, rushes up to confront the rockman, the tattoos on his arms glowing as flames wreathe his hands.

"Yo, grit-for-brains!" He taunts the monstrous malefactor, "You lookin' for some nookie? Go hump a statue!"

He collects the fire into a bundle and chucks it at the behemoth's face, hoping to blind or distract him from Nycto's actions.

He punctuates his attack with one more taunt. "And speak English, pendejo!"

[I'm using my Hero Die to do a power stunt, attempting to Daze Stony Man with a faceful of fire. Reading the rules, it's a Mind vs. Mind roll, right?]

The Rockman screams as the fire temporarily blinds him.

Fenris: As you close the distance on the Rockman, you notice one man who is not running the opposite direction as everyone else but is watching the Novas a few dozen feet away. Just as you go to pass him, you see a revolver drawn from his coat, a quick aim and the sharp report of gunfire. Looking from the gun to his face, you recognize the steel eyes and grim face of Captain Marshall.

Everyone: The flash of fire catches the rockman off guard, blinding him. A moment later, the "bang" of a gunshot rings out and the Rockman grasps his shoulder for a moment. His hand drops to his side and you see that a small metal disk with a flashing red light is now attached to his shoulder.

Suddenly his stone skin turns to pale, dirty, and wholey normal flesh. A broad shouldered, naked man falls to the ground, grasping at his eyes and the object imbedded in his arm, whimpering in some foreign language.

Looking around, you all see a gray haired, steel eyed military type in street clothes with a revolver in his hand a short distance away (Nycto, you recognize him as Capt Marshall).

Nycto's go next, wrapping up this page!

Marshall?? What the seven hells is that gun? It can De-Nova-fy someone? thinks Nycto, and his mind quickly jumps at Fenris Maybe someone found an answer... This can be a good start...But it just brings a lot of questions...

Nycto stops the teleportation, and says to Marshall "Captain." noding his head, as if hi "Thanks for the help there. " and looking at the gun adds "New weapon?"

Nycto won't teleport, and let Marshall make the arrest (will he??? or will he just shoot us all.)

I failed to ask, is Nycto in "shadow form" or does he look normal? I know Harrison looks normal right now.

The rockless-Rockman continues to thrash about on the ground, clutching at his eyes and the imbeded metal in his flesh.

As the crowd disappears, police begin to arrive on the scene, confused and weary. Ominously, Cptn. Marshall keeps the revolver drawn at his side, pointed at the ground halfway between himself and you all.

He takes a long hard look at each of you, eyes settling on Nycto's shadowy form. "You seem to find yourself in the middle of every crap storm that blows into HC, don't you? I don't suppose you're going to let me arrest you today, are you?"

Nycto and Harrison: The hairs on the backs of your necks stand on end as the tension builds.

Fenris: It sounds as though a crowd of people are gathering at the end of the block, just around the corner of a nearby building. You can't make out exactly what's going on, but they sound * and are getting closer.

Javier looks at the curiously armed man askance.

"Arrest us?" he challenges Marshall. "Why? Are you a cop? 'Cause I distinctly did not hear you announce yourself as one before you started waving that gun around and shooting at people. Got news for you, ese, this ain't Dodge City and you ain't Wyatt Earp."

Nyx moves in close with the others and whispers to Nycto, "If you're ready to take us out of here, I can provide cover," Nyx reaches out to the water, and should things go south, he prepares himself create a wall.

Not a force field, just using Water Construct to break their line of sight with us long enough for Nycto to get us out, with Javi's help we can cover both sides, but Nyx doesn't know that IC

Harrison releases Susan.The tension is still tangible but she's safe, for now...
"Is everything all right babe?"

And now, is he branded as a nova? Was he too nimble for a bystander?
He couldn't interpret the causes of his danger sense.
Does that curious cop with his anti-nova gun is the threat? Or something bigger is coming?
And...above all
"Aren't we supposed to be legit now?" He whispers

He don't want Susan to be compromised with a Nova crisis.
Slowly, carefully, he tries to move away from the scene holding Susan's hand.

As his danger sense again flashes, Nyctos hair stands up, as if rising... Well they would if is shadowy form had hairs....

Nycto simply answers the captain "I'm helping.".

Looking around he adds in alower voice "and we're legit NSA operatives."
