Javier looks askance at Nycto. "And you don't think big black shadow-spewing dogs running around ain't gonna tip someone off that's something's going down in here?" He scornfully shakes his head.

He notes the others' names with nods, giving each person a quick appraisal.

Javier grabs a nearby chair and flips it around to sit on it backwards.

He shrugs in response to Harrison's question. "Same s**t, different day, man. People always find some reason to dump on other people.

"Guess for some it's a new experience," he adds, eying Harrison and Jason speculatively.

When Javier appraises Jason, he sees a a thin young man in ratty jeans and a dirty white t-shirt. His hair is shaggy and brown, he looks obviously underfed.
(Didn't do a public description of him yet...)

Jason agrees with Javier's statement, "When it comes to being unwanted, it's nothing new to me."

"Bullseye" he murmurs, feeling uneasy for a second.
He only though about what he could gain as being a Nova...Not what he could lose...

What else can you do with shadows, Nycto?

Nycto smilles at Fenris question and answers "Well that is the question, right? What can we do with our new found abillities... That's the reason I came."

Turning to Javier he answers "They're not "running around", they're watching. The apearance of Fenris made them howl.
Still I prefer to tip but be prepared, than be caught by surprise..."

"As for the rest I believe some Novas have gained delusions of grandeur... We could make a difference in the world, but somehow we are seen as freaks, as evil by some normals. That is plain wrong..." Although I understand fear... They fear us...

"I have that effect on most people." Fenris replies to Nycto.

"Me. I'm looking for a cure before the normals try to lynch me like in a horror movie." Fenris says discouragedly.

Javier casually pulls a pack of cigarettes from a pocket, extracts one and places it on his lips.

"Huh," he says, to keep his place in the conversation, "so you think we're here to form our own neighborhood crime patrol or citizen volunteer group or something like that?"

He cups his hands to light his cigarette. There is no match or lighter visible.

Taking a few puffs, he continues, "That's not a bad idea, but I don't exactly see the cops cutting us slack 'cause of it, know what I mean?"

"Neat trick," Fenris reacts to Javier's cigarette. "I guess that explains what you can do. It must be nice to easily conceal it."

After a pause, Fenris answers Javier's potentially rhetorical question, "I'm sure Mama B has a plan. Otherwise, we would not be here."

Looking at Fenris he thinks to himself It must be hard being always like that... and adds aloud "We are the same people... We have different capabilities now, but the stuff that is us, is the same." Even our sins and fears continue to hunt us...

Javier snorts out a puff of smoke. "S**t, you don't need no * Nova crap for that to happen," he scoffs.

"S**t happens, man. Don't matter if you're *-deep in money or scraping on food stamps. Don't matter if you're starting a new life or staring at the ruins of all that's left of yours. Just don't matter."

He sits for a moment, his eyes focused on a point in another place and time, his face wreathed in smoke. The ruby-colored eyes of the tattooed heads on his hands glitter, as if lit by an inner fire.

Harrison shivers again. He didn't liked the idea...at all. It wears out his cheerful side.
"That's a sad story Fenris...There's no way you could regain what you lost?" He asks with true concern.
