[p 21, "Never underestimate me!" allows you to spend a Hero Die so you roll 3d6 (instead of 2d6) for one action. I'll let you decide if you want a do over for your action.]

[If that means I get to re-roll that awful roll, I'll take it. :D How do I use the BASH roller to do 3d6?]]

[I'm good with a reroll! Use the Dice button, 3d6, Dice button again. You'll have to manually account for doubles (thus roll another die) and simply type out the total result in the next message. Pain in the *, but I don't know any other way to handle it. Heck, you can roll the dice at home and just post the result here in this case if you want.]

[Okay, here goes...]

[dice]3d6 = 1941107824 = Fixed[/dice]

[With the multiplier, that is a total of 30. Fingers crossed!]

Redtooth ducks under the debris as it sails over his head. He clicks his tongue and shakes his head in contempt at your ruse, then glances for a moment to the west at the darkening sky as the sun has begun to set. His head seams to tilt for moment as though listening to a distant call. You move to strike again and his attention snaps back to you.

"Getting desperate pup?" he snaps at you as he slashes again at your now red stained fur...

[It doesn't look too good for our canine hero... :( ]

Whatever words Keri was about to say are struck from his mouth by Redtooth's blow.

Despite your pride and training, a yelp escapes your lips as Redtooth's blade cuts a deep gash into your hide. Once again the toothy grin widens as the wolf senses your moment of doubt.

Despite your wound, you parry his next few slashes as you catch your breath and regain your focus through the haze of pain. The deepening shadows encircle the clearing then begin to creep across it as the sun ducks behind the horizon, oblivious to the dance of death unfolding.

Just as he did a few minutes before, Redtooth suddenly retreats a moment, * his head and pricks his ears as he listens to a silent call.

This time he does not return his attention to you but instead turns swiftly to the woods as though he is about to dart back towards the ruined manor house, leaving the rabbit limply hanging from the rope, you bleeding and confused...

[You may take your action, including attacking the fleeing Redtooth once again before he disappears into the woods.]

Every nerve in his body screams for Kerbi to collapse, but he cannot allow Redtooth to escape and possibly inform the wolf's hidden master of the familiar's agenda. Especially if this mystery man is the one responsible for Summer's dimming health.

With a snarl, he forces protesting muscles to swing his glaive one more time, seeking a killing blow.

[Fingers crossed that the BASH die roller fairy smiles upon this unworthy player. ;) ]

Your wild swing buries the glaive's head deep in the earth as Redtooth slips safely into the woods, weaving between the trees towards the clearing and the manor house. Watching his swiftness as he leaves the battlefield, you don't figure you'd be able to keep up with the swift-footed wolf, but you could certainly track him despite the gathering darkness.

A moan from behind you reminds you that the rabbit is still dangling from the end of the rope by it's ears. You're more than a bit suprised the poor creature is still alive considering the terrible lashes that cross it's fuzzy body.

Kerbi slumps over the polearm's haft.

That didn't go too well, the thinks miserably.

As gently as he can, Kerbi loosens the restraints and lowers the rabbit to the ground. His own wounds throbbing, he looks at the tortured animal and mumbles, "Can ye speak?"

"Oy," the distinctly feminine voice of the rabbit gives as a reply, followed by a low moan as she twists a bit at the end of the rope, but does not otherwise move or respond.

A wolf's howl calls from back towards the manor, followed by a few other, more distant howls in all directions. The fur rises on the back of your neck as you consider your predicament.

The fluttering and squeeks of a flight of bats catches your attention as they pass over the trees, circling the clearing it seems, then darting off in a chaotic mass into the darkness.
