Can someone tell me if the following is correct? I'm trying to use the rules to create the fastest runner possible in BASH! but I'm not sure I've got the rules right:
A person with Agility 5 runs 15 squares/75' per panel
Give that person SuperRunning 1: 20 squares/100' per panel
SuperRunning 5: 40 squares/200' per panel
Add SuperSpeed 5, he can run 3 panels per page, for a grand total of 120 squares/600' per page.
Sprint (a la Move Twice): 240 squares/1200' per page.
That should work out to 2400 mph (240 sq x 10 mph per the rulebook)
Is this legit? Could this be the Fastest Person in Megapolis?
Thanks!

No- the MPH is based on your single move action.
You can reach "Top Speed" which is TRIPLE your base speed but you must move in a straight line. I used the mph to figure out how far you'd move during 1 second, then divided it by 5' and realized it was just around triple the base move!
But you can run even faster than 240 squares- Teleport 5 [Limit: must be able to run there]. Who wants Chinese Food? Zip. Orders/Pays. Zip back munching authentic chinese food...

Where is this formula in the rulebook?-HF-Aardvark892 wrote:That should work out to 2400 mph (240 sq x 10 mph per the rulebook)

For the record, the fastest you can run without using the "Who Wants Chinese Food?" trick is:
Agility 5 + Super Speed 5 + Super Running 5 =
40 SQ x3 = 120 SQ/Page = 1,200 mph. Note that this is tactical movement where you are able to run around in circles, around corners, etc- 120 squares worth- bigger than any battle mat will be.
You triple that if you are running in a straight line at top speed - 360 squares (representing you going 1,200 mph). Technically 360 squares per panel is exactly 1,199.6928 mph, but, we can round up, right?
Of course, I am a big fan of the "Run to China for Chinese Food" using a limited version of Teleport in a multi-power w/ Super Running. However, I understand that some people cannot "bend their head" around this concept.
In Awesome Powers, I'll put in a possible enhancement for Super Running, that will function mechanically the same, but it will be specifically in terms of Super Running rather than "Teleport: Limit: Must be able to run there".

Is it faster than 1,200 mph?CauldronOfEvil wrote:Okay, let me put it another way. If Im' designing a specific vehicle or speedster based on it's mph, how would I figure it?BASHMAN wrote:It isn't. He extrapolated it based on what Super Speed, Super Running, and the Top Speed sidebar said in the book, combining them.
thanks!
