The Liberator is a super-soldier that also has some armored hero elements. This is my first M&M conversion, and he's fairly straight-forward, but if you see any significant issues in BASH terms, please point them out.

Below is the background that had originally written for Freedom City.
Origin of The Liberator
On September 11th, 2001, Ellis Libby was a 19-year old freshman at Freedom City University. He was going to school on an athletic scholarship an excelled at football and wrestling. His father was a career U.S. Army officer who had been recently assigned to a position at the Pentagon. On that fateful day, Colonel Derrick Libby was one of thousands of unsuspecting Americans struck down by cowardly muslim terrorists. Unlike 184 victims at the Pentagon, Colonel Libby survived, but he would never walk again.
Ellis Libby drove away from college that day and never looked back. His dream of becoming a star running back didn’t seem so important anymore. He headed to Washington DC to find his father, who was in ICU at George Washington University Hospital by the time he arrived.
After a few days, his father regained consciousness and enough strength to be moved out of ICU. He pleaded with his son to resume college, saying “This is what I’ve fought for and worked for, all these years in the Army.”
Ellis replied, “But now it’s time for me to fight for you and for this country.” Then he left his father's bedside to enlist in the Army. It was something he swore he would never do. He was an “army brat” after all.
Note: In his middle and high school years, young Ellis earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and won trophies in several regional tournaments.
2002-2004: By May of 2002, Private Libby was fighting against Taliban as a member of the 75th Ranger Regiment. By the end of his first enlistment, he had already made the rank of sergeant and with his reenlistment came his requested assignment to the Green Beret program at Fort Bragg. Ellis’ natural athletic prowess allowed him to complete the most rigorous courses in the Army on his first attempt. Fellow soldiers joked that he was actually a machine – like a terminator – and his nickname changed from “Libs” to “Liberator”
2005-2007: Ellis Libby served with 3rd and 5th Special Forces Groups in Afghanistan and Iraq. He established a reputation as a fearless and efficient soldier. Libby was awarded the Silver Star in 2006 and a Distinguished Service Cross in 2007.
In the scenario that earned him the Service Cross, SSgt Libby single-handedly disrupted a Taliban ambush, potentially saving the life of Brigadier General Hennings who was visiting the field operation that day. Confidentially, Hennings shared his account of Libby’s heroics to Lt. General Pratt and suggested that if AEGIS is reviving their super-soldier program, then Libby should be a candidate. Pratt knew Horatio Powers, the Director of AEGIS.
A few weeks later, Libby and a few other candidates reported to Freedom City. They signed waivers acknowledging that the synthesis phase of the project is experimental, extremely dangerous, and potentially deadly. They also made video statements saying they were in the program voluntarily and they were also asked to complete their wills.
Sidebar: The first known successful super-soldier was “The Patriot”, who fulfilled his mission for years until he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Some blamed the cancer on the super-soldier serum they used. The attempt to repeat The Patriot resulted in the death of the subject and set the program back for years.
This time another application called VUVI (vapor and ultra-violet induced) synthesis would be attempted. After a couple weeks of testing, Libby emerged as one of the top two candidates. The other man was an AEGIS agent. On the 19th day of the program, aka “S-day” (“S” for “synthesis”, S is also the 19th letter in the alphabet) both men were painstakingly prepared for the synthesis chambers. They were loaded into separate tanks, but both subjects received the same Synth-DNA enhancer treatment. The goal was to transform to subjects simultaneously and under the exact same conditions to see if they could produce the same effects in both.
In chamber two, Libby’s heart and mind raced at the impending risks and possibilities. The sealed glass room flooded with pressurized gas and dim purple light. His lips and then his lungs began to tingle and then burn. He coughed violently as his body tried to reject the fumes. Then every muscle in his body tensed and began to spasm as if he were being electrocuted! Then darkness…
He awoke to a loud bashing sound! Disoriented, he tried to focus and recall what was happening. He was held by cargo straps to a heavy-duty gurney.
The synthesis chamber. Did it work?
Another loud smash shook the room and this time he saw the body of an AEGIS guard bounce off of the thick glass. Something had gone wrong. Way wrong.
Outside the chamber, he could see a twisted rampaging mutation of a human ripping the laboratory apart! Libby strained against the straps that bound him. They snapped with surprising ease. He stood and looked down at his physique. He didn't look much different, but he felt very, VERY different. Heavier. More dense. He felt like a war machine. The Liberator.
[the short of it is this - Libby emerged from the chamber and joined in the fight against the rampaging mutant-man. He knows he could not have defeated him alone, but with the help of AEGIS personnel, including a MAX armored unit, they were able to stop him. The other super-soldier had turned into a monster, burst out of the chamber and caused enough damage to set the program back another decade. The unpredictable results could set it back even further.]
Ellis Libby is a 6’ 4” African-American male. He appears to be about 240 lbs, but his actual weight is about 375. Officially, he now holds the rank of Sergeant First Class, US Army Special Forces. But as the newest super-soldier, HE IS classified and so are his special missions. Therefore Libby has been granted top-secret SCI clearance.
As the Liberator, he wears a dark blue full-body suit with a fully-enclosed mask and cowl providing sensory and breathing protection. His eyes cannot be seen behind the lenses. The suit features high-tech kinetic combat boots and gauntlets which boost his punching and kicking power.
