Hi Folks, My name is Gilles from Quebec, Canada and I just bought BASH UE following the reviews and podcast about the game.
I really love Super Heroes games and my players also, but sometimes they are difficult to handle (numbers crunching, too many options, etc...) I think we found the plug n play one. Really, I'm impressed, easy to read ad Wow ! Easy to understand.
My question is is that game compatible with the Megapolis book who was written few years ago ? Thanks a lot and I'm really proud to be here.

It is mostly compatable. There are some new powers that didn't exist back then (like Density Increase, which I've given to Black Diamond, and Martial Arts Mastery which I've given to a number of characters) and the way a few powers work has changed slightly (Flight speed is 5 sq/Level instead of Level x Agility now). These changes are minor.
The bigger change is Energy- Energy cost is a limitation in BASH! UE, whereas in the original edition, it was a given. So anything mentioning "EC" will just need to be ignored.
As is, I frequently use Megapolis YEAR 1 in my campaign and make any needed changes in my head, but you can make them in advance with some scratch paper before your game session starts in a few minutes.

The original Megopolis suppliment has many dozens of heroes and villains in it. They are statted for the old rules though, so you will need to take a couple of minutes (or ten) to retool each character to 2nd edtion. Pretty much all the artwork are stock pieces available on RPGNow.
Pick up the Vengence is Nigh adventure (a great deal at $6) to get a sense of how great the new Megopolis setting will be. It has great new art and updated stats for the Defenders. It's a great adventure too.

Thanks. I have ViN already. I just LOVE reading BASH characters, and I know it will be awhile before Year 2 comes out. (That's not bashing BASHMAN at all - that's just a reasonable assumption based on facts - as a publisher of one, I get it!)MrJupiter wrote:The original Megopolis suppliment has many dozens of heroes and villains in it. I may pick it up when I have 10 bucks to spare.
