Hey folks!
I'm making a character who can spit a venom that paralyzes his foes. (GROSS! I know!) How would you do this? In fact, how would you do Paralysis in general?
Also, what's the best way to do a damaging poison, while we are at it?
Best,
Dragonfly

Immobilization I think works perfectly. Rather than a target rolling Brawn to break free of their physical restraints, you just say the target rolls Brawn to shrug off the effects of the poison.
Unless I'm missing something, that's how I'd go about it.
If the poison does damage once and it's over, Special Attack should cover it. If you want a poison to continue doing damage over time, the Continual Damage power is custom made just for that!

Re: How To: Paralysis?
Hey Dustland,
You know - you're right. It really is that simple. I think my Champions trained brain was looking for the Mental Paralysis or the No Normal Defense option, but it really isn't necessary. If I did need a mental paralysis, as opposed to a Brawn based one I could always just switch the Ability used to break out with an Enhancement. Thanks for the input!
Best,
Dragonfly

That's where the beauty of these forums come in! The first edition of BASH was almost devoid of good examples. I find UE is much better.Dustland wrote:Yah, I wish there were was a "For Example" section for the powers because I run into the same roadblock looking at the rules from time to time.
But that is the beauty of BASH I suppose!
