Shared Universe idea: INTERSECT

I had an idea today for a european version of URGENT. I am not sure if URGENT is meant to be international, but owing to the American/European split, i doubt it. The International Security Taskforce, or INTERSECT as it is commonly known, provides a superhuman database on european super crimes, and armed response units, when things get very serious. They work closely with INTERPOL, especially when mundane crimes may actually involve superhuman activity, and INTERSECT offices are located in every major european capital. Brussels remains INTERSECT`s main headquarters, however.
Among the criminal underworld, INTERSECT agents are commonly referred to as roaches or crawlers, due to the shortening of the name (ie INSECT)

I definitely like the idea of having Intersect as the EU version of URGENT. "Roaches" ha.

Cool idea!

I wonder if this could tie in with my ideas about what the International Criminal Court might be like in a world with supers. I posted about it in the Megapolis shared universe thread. Maybe INTERSECT could be the enforcement agency that apprehends and holds super criminals that fall under the ICC jurisdiction, as well as the EU region?
