A Brief History
This is actually a thread for my MC2 home game universe, dubbed Earth-6611. But the canon character stats can be used for the published world of Earth-982.
Earth-6611 is basically identical to Earth-982 up until the aftermath of the "Last Planet Standing" miniseries, which is when my campaign kicked off, and thus diverged into its own reality.
Recently, prior to the collapse of the multiverse in "Secret Wars (2015)" Earth-6611 was threatened by a planetary incursion, like many other Marvel worlds. The Fantastic Five along with some other experienced heroes managed to stop the incursion, but at the cost of their own lives - apparently.
No one on Earth-6611 remembers that the entire multiverse collapsed, and their universe was reformed in the aftermath. And the true fates of the heroes who died stopping the incursion is yet to be revealed. But the incursion event gives me an excuse to pare down the heroes to just the "junior" teams, in North America at least: A-Next are the junior Avengers, X-People are the junior X-Men, and the Future Force are the junior Fantastic Four for all intents and purposes.

All of them are canon characters except Mountain Man.
As for mutants, there's less prejudice in MC2 although some still exists. I wavered on giving the X-People the Social Stigma disadvantage. Bluestreak of the Avengers is also a mutant and doesn't have it. In the end, I gave it to the X-People because Jubilee runs that team in as a traditional mutant separatist kind of team. They haven't changed with the times, and other mutants like Bluestreak are more accepted in part because they reject Jubilee's philosophy.
