the splittable x makes sense.

for the +10, I think you might want to make it just to counter penalties. Although GMs may not place penalties for seeing in water.

I would assume a penalty of at least +10 Difficulty in Water. But the concept should work across situations, allowing the specialist sense person to generally outshine others, even those normally fairly perceptive, while in their particular situation.

I like these d-Infinity ideas. I like the expanded powers application of the skill roll bonus as a modifier. Also, the Keen Senses idea is great. I'd like to be able to split the three x1 multipliers amongst just two senses for a character (i.e. a hound-based character with +1 multiplier going to hearing and +2 multiplier going to smell). Great ideas. Keep them coming!

Thanks again MrJ! I will try.

I am trying to expand d-Infinity's offerings a little. BASH, Honor& Intrigue and Runequest to begin with, but I want to do some Barbarians of Lemuria stuff and Legends of Steel too.

I did something similar ad hoc once, when a halfling wanted to slide between a baddie's legs as part of an attack. I like your expanded take on this. :)

That is exactly the kind of thing I wanted to encourage in play, fairytalejedi! My players were doing it occasionally, but often the fights, especially since we don't use figures all the time, would devolve into slugging matches.

Then I trotted this out, without even telling the players exactly how it was going to work at first [because I didn't know at that point] and combats got a lot more colourful right away.

Is it a free thing that the character doesn't pay for in game - for sure.

Does it liven up the game, and create good visuals - definitely.

Works for me.
