as the title says can a vehicle take Paired Weapons please ?

I am building a ´Good Goblin´ PC and like the idea of the ´Goblin Glider have twin machine guns but I am not sure if this pair is limited to Heros only. Thank you :O)

I'm leaning in the direction of 'no', as Paired Weapons is an Intense Training Power meant for hand-to-hand attacks with melee weapons or unarmed strikes.

An alternative approach, might be to construct the machine guns as a Special Attack with range. You could give it a limitation like "Forward Firing" so that you would have to successfully perform a Pilot/Control or Pilot/Tricks maneuver to reorient the Glider to shoot at targets in directions not directly in front of you.

You could assume that the damage rating of you machine gun Special Attack was representative of both barrels firing, or you could take the Super Speed 3 power and limit it so that the extra action can only be used to make a second attack with the Machine Gun Special Attack.

If you want the glider to act on its own, as you see int he comics and spidey films, work it out as a Sidekick, with the Unliving Advantage.

One of the PCs in my game is Moonblade, an acrobatic lurker type with a glider. With it written up this way, Moonblade can leap from his glider, using his gliding cape to swoop down on his foes while the glider whirls around to attack another baddie, or rescue a falling companion, etc.

Hey Baelor, that's a great idea. It would make a lot of sense to do this rather than making the glider a Super Vehicle. By applying the Non-Sentience advantage you could easily convey the basic programmed nature of its AI systems.

I love the Night Wing build. The Physically Challenged disadvantage is a great touch.

Thanks. I like Moonblade as a character. A bit of Moonknight, a bit of the Batman, a bit of Blade the the vampire hunter, with the glider for that Green Goblin feel too.

I will post him tomorrow if you want to see him.

Very interesting and creative solutions, guys. At first I was wondering why twin machine guns would need to be two separate attacks; but now I see what you mean; you want separate weapons that fire independently in different directions.

I think the AI sidekick route worked pretty well for this. It gives me something to think about for Awesome Powers # 6 (Technology Powers, covering Gadgetry and Technopathy)
