Thanks, Mr. Jupiter!
At least in this case, it was all worth while, because we had a terrific time. I will be doing a follow up to this on my blog in a couple of weeks, after the next session of the game on the 17th. Cheat Sheets rock! I have done them for characters in BASH too, since many of my players are not interested in doing their own builds. They tell me what they want in terms of concept and powers and I build it. Then they review it and we tweak as necessary. Once the character is in final form, I do up a cheat sheet for it.
This also makes me grateful to BASHMAN for letting the pdfs allow copy text rather that sections. It makes Cheat Sheets SO MUCH EASIER to put together. Cut and paste, edit down for brevity, rinse, repeat. I like them so much that I often do them for my villains and NPCs if I have time and the character is complex or has a power I don't know. It is a little more work up front, but saves time in game because I don't have to look things up.
Now I will have the time to read the sections of the book that I could not get to beforehand!

Thanks, Chris!
I have an M.A. in medieval history, so I sorta have to or lose all respect for myself.
Next session should wrap the current story.
Incidentally, I was a little worried about having a group of six players, envisioning having to have dozens of retainers and pawns to challenge them, but the combats have gone very well so far. I am really liking the game, so kudos to you.

Last night was the final session of my Honour& Intrigue One Shot that became a Three Shot. We had a lot of fun, but a mechanical question came up.
If we were reading the rules correctly, for every point by which a hit exceeds the target's defense, the damage of that hit is increased by one. A Called Shot reduces the to hit roll in order to boost damage by the same amount on a successful hit. Effectively, this would mean that called shots are pointless, because the reduced chance to hit means more misses AND the extra damage from the called shot just equals the extra damage from exceeding the target's defense.
Are we missing something? Did we misinterpret the rules?

You must have an older version of the PDF that was released by mistake, and later replaced with the current one.
What you are reading is a holdover from when the "static damage" method was going to be the default damage mechanic.
We abandoned that for simple dice rolls, and added the Called Shot rules. The bit of text you are referencing should have been replaced (and was in later PDFs). So if you got the game when it came out, you might have the out-dated PDF.
But if you got it through RPGnow or DrivethruRPG, you can re-download the updated version, no problem.
