Yeah, I know what you mean. I didn't mind him as Daredevil but, he wouldn't have been even my third choice for that. Batman, however, is just not a role I believe he could fit into at all!
Of course, I remember totally thinking the same thing of Robert Downey Jr. as Ironman... But seriously, I don't think this is anything close to being the same.
He'd pass okay for me as Superman (again, not my first choice, but I could handle it) He did play the role of George Reeves in Hollywoodland; the man that played the role of tv's original superman.

Actually thgink he will do a goo gob, he has the looks for Bruce Wayne and other than a few missteps (gigli) I think he's more than competent to play Batman.
I can't say I've liked the Nolan Batman (or Bale) so I hope the next outing is better. But with Man of Steel forming the backdrop to the new movie I have my doubts.

You know, WaylanderPK, I'm actually starting to warm up to the idea of Bat-Affleck! It's probably good that the movie studio got this information out early enough to give people time to warm up to the concept. I'm hoping that they will release some good teasers with Ben showing us some good Bruce Wayne moments to help build some positive momentum for him.

"Batfleck", I like that! I know that even if my attitude towards Ben Affleck hadn't have changed, I'd still be wanting to watch the movie; even if only to see what they had done with all the other characters, storyline, fight scenes, and special effects.
That's how I feel right now about missing Man of Steel (money was tight when that one came out, and a friend said that he wasn't to impressed by it). Now I really want to watch it!

I enjoyed Man of Steel a lot, except for one scene which should have been handled differently. I won't say which scene, since you haven't seen it yet, but it'll be obvious when you do.
I'm looking forward to seeing how Ben Affleck handles the role of Batman; he's less of a stretch than Heath Ledger as Joker or Michael Keaton as Batman.

Man of Steel is definitely different than previous supers movies. I liked it, but can understand why some people didn't.
And actually, after reading how they plan to do Batman in MoS 2, I think it does play more to Affleck's strengths than what I originally imagined. Wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong.
