Zenith Comics Presents: HEROIC #1 Kickstarter!

Post by AslanC »

Hey everyone,

Just thought I would stop by and let you guys know the Kickstarter is active for my comic book.

Feel free to check it out and sorry the video is shakey... I am a better writer than I am a cinematographer apparently ;)

Cheers!

I don't know yet. CBR and PDF for sure... if there is another format I will look into it, so long as it is easy to make and we don't have to pay for it lol!

It should be noted that, that is actually 1/4 of the special wallpaper we talk about in all tiers, the cover is going to be even MORE amazing and limited to the Kickstarter only, after the Kickstarter anyone buying a digital copy or POD, will not get the KS cover!

As soon as I have a sketch of it I will show you all :)

What about comic apps for tablets? CBR is cool, but you might want to consider making it for at least comixology

The problem with Comixology is that they AND Apple take a piece of every issue that leaves next to mothing for the publisher. Great when you are moving thousands of units, not so great for indy publishers. That said I will take another look at it.

well there's other apps as well (Nook has comics for their reader, etc), so it's not the only option.

In the end though, it boils down to (as you pointed out) whether it's going to give enough return investment though. I'm happy with a CBR version myself, but if there was a way to read it via Nook, I'd be all over it

I thought Nook could read PDFs? Was I mistaken there?

They can, but I hate comics in pdf format. But they have comics specifically for Nook as well. It's also easier to read with the regular Nook reader than the pdf readers available for them

These look great! It looks like they are about to unveil PILGRIM as a new full-page spread. Also, the comic's funding is moving well. They are only $109 away from reaching $5000 - and still 15 days to go!
