Hey fellas!

Making some good progress. I just finished stats for Freedom Star. That includes his Golden Age, Silver Age, and Modern Age incarnations - plus all the layout stuff that I was working on.

I'm aiming to have the next character done by tonight...

Cheers,

Doh! Yes, of course...

I guess it was lodged there in my subconcious somewhere :)

Cool. Very, very cool.

Great to hear! Count me in for a copy of the BASH version of the book when it's done!

I'm going faster than anticipated! I've got three characters done. Three more to go.

I'll then spend a week calibrating them against one another - and maybe doing a little playtesting.

It'll be soon...

Cheers!

Went ahead and picked this up today. I only skimmed it, but I liked what I saw. A nice group of heroes with a good set of powers, as well as being ethnically diverse (which is a nice touch). I like the optional info, and hope the BASH version will include optional rules material as well.

My only complaint, although Minor, is that I would prefer the cover be part of the actual pdf, and not separate. I like the art (though one of Maiden America's legs is at a weird angle for me), but the usual stellar work Dustland does. The cover looks great too.

I hope down the road you might consider compiling all 3 releases into one, and doing a pod version. I think Dustland's stuff needs to be in print. I'm biased of course, because of the stuff he's done for me, but yeah, I'd love to see it in print

Thanks Urbwar! And I agree, I want to have DF's collection on my shelf one day.

(I'm also waiting to see what you want to do with those dragonmen pics! Let me know when the writing bug strikes again so I can get the hi-res versions over to you.)

Howdy urbwar!

Thanks for the purchase and thanks for the feedback! I need to gain approval from BASHMAN first, but my current draft of the BASH version does indeed have some optional rules material in it. I hope it satisfies. I've also reworked the layout, reordered some of the material, and otherwise made it ... different. I want to say better and more polished, but I'll let others be the judge of that.

I'm almost done with the first draft of the character stats. Only Skana left to go, and then I've got to polish and tweak the stat presentation. I'm hoping to be done with it by Monday at the latest, and then it's off to BASHMAN for comment and approval.

About the cover - I'm totally cool with having it be part of the PDF. I only made it a separate file because so many products I buy do it that way that I kinda thought I was supposed to do it that way. :-) Maybe I'll do otherwise for the BASH version.

As far as compiling all of the material together at some point and offering a POD version - that IS a dream of mine. One step at a time, though. I need to get there first.

In the meantime, please feel free to send me any other feedback that you might have as you read through the manuscript. The feedback only makes me better!

For now, I'm focusing on The Iron Gauntlet. Dustland's first piece for it is knocking me out!

Best,

I love pdf files, but I still like having books too. And PoD is a godsend for all of us little publishers. Drivethru/RPGNow's PoD service is pretty good, which is a plus.

I need to reply to your last email (laptop's been in the shop for a week now due to a virus, so I've been limited in accessing the net because of that). Didn't know you ever redid them in hi-res. Will email you tonight about that.

Dragonfly,

Now that I got my laptop back, I hope to read it more in depth this week. My desktop is older, and thus slower at reading pdf files. Now that I'm back with my newer laptop, I can read through it much easier. Will post more once I get a chance to read through it again

Whew! I spent ALL FREAKING DAY working at it, but the BASH UE version of The Freedom Ring is M*O*O*N spells DONE!

It was more work than I thought! I sent it off to BASHMAN for consideration. Once he gives me the green light, I'll upload it to rpgnow. Needless to say, I'll keep ya'll posted.

Hey folks!

Dustland is joshing me because I told him I'm a horrible Facebook friend. :-) I have a personal account that I check like once a month, if I'm being good about it.

That being said, TGI is giving me a reason to take FB more seriously. I'm going to try to put something together this week. :-)

Cheers!
