Crush/Joint Lock Clarification

Crush Them/Joint Lock: Make a Brawn Contest. Your target takes the difference as damage, ignoring Soak bonuses from Armor.

So do they still get normal soak? Only ignoring Armor bonuses?

For example, the difference in the brawn contest is 30, Is this 30 pts then soaked by normal soak (ignoring armor)

No, no soak at all. They take the full 30. Essentially their Brawn roll in the contest *is* their soak, and using armor is explicitly not allowed.

Thanks for the clarification. The GM ruled teh other way in play, which resulted in my character Pushing himself and going for broke, but still doing no damage, Luckily our team spellcaster cast a sleep spell on the rampaging monster.
