I was notified by P.I.G. (where I first bought the PDF) yesterday that I could get the update.

BASHMAN wrote: The Hi-Res version is just for the printer. This version (which isn't that lo-res--I've got it blown up as big as it will go on my screen here and it looks pretty crisp) was designed to be a lower resolution because:

1. It is easier to download "over the air" so somebody with a tablet/smartphone and 3g can easily get it on their device.
2. It is a smaller file which will run faster on a tablet, netbook, or similar device. It is basically made for viewing on a screen, as opposed to in print.

A thought on this... I'd guess he is asking because some folks have printers available to them to be able to print from the PDF in great resolution. Then take their print and get it bound at any office store for $2-3.
Even though I originally bought/own a printed copy of the original BASH! UE book. I wanted a COLOR version, so I did this.

I would also note... The big benefit (to we gamers) of being able to print Hi-Res on our home printers to be bound is practicality. A printed and spiral bound copy of the rules is SO MUCH easier to use at the game table. Especially if you're the Narrator. It opens and lays FLAT and you can turn to a page, sweeping the other pages to the back (for a single 8"x11" folded back book) to lay flat behind your screen or on your GM table. So much easier.

anyway... that's my guess. And you're not "losing" anything from the above points by having a higher res version on a laptop or tablet. And downloading speed isn't really an issue for most people savy enough to buy a PDF book...

My question...
I'm grabbing some call-out text for my personal group. I'm formatting it to resemble the BASH! book.
May I ask what the FONTS used for the book are? There are several. And it'd be handy to know what sizes they are too. So I'm looking for all the font types on a page such as this:

I sure would appreciate the info!

Exactly right on the printing, that's why I was looking for high-rez. What I'm actually planning on doing is buying the color book and printing a copy or two to have at the game table for reference.

Well the problem with the high-rez is not only is it a bigger file that is more of a pain to download, that takes longer to load a new page on a tablet, etc- it is also formatted for use by a commercial printer. It has bleed edge, hash marks, those weird colored dots, etc on the pages. It isn't made to print on a home printer. If you print it at home, the text and images will all be shrunk down and the margins will be really wide; it won't look like it does in the hardcopy book.

@Kevin: Fonts used are Arial, * Noisy Kids, and Comic Book.
