Sure thing.
S'a bit late right now, but I'll try to get them up later in the week / weekend for review, and maybe by then I'll tackle some armor as well.
A rules question in exchange...
Regarding linked powers, is this correct for the Brawn 4 * uber-brute I'm building?
Crushing Blows: Special Attack 4 (x8 Dmg), Linked to Collateral Damage, 6pts
Collateral Damage: Special Attack 1 (x5 Dmg), Sml Burst, 0pts
That is, blows so powerful their concussive force blasts everyone nearby... should that second power be 0pts since the first one "paid" for it with the 2pt "Linked" enhancement?

Since mundane equipment like guns aren't bought with points they don't really require the gadget limitation and they aren't really Special Attacks.
Why this is important, first mind does not increase their damage output, that is done with the powers weapon technique and attack weak point. Making them special attacks means that a hero with Rifle Technique is going to be no better at using them an equally agile and intelligent minion.

It's not wrong, I would have gone with push rather than another special attack, I think it more closely works the way you describe, and I would be extremely cautious about allowing a PC to link two special attacks, so as a narrator I don't think I would do it. It's a pretty beefy combo the way you have it written the target of the attack is going to be taking +3x10 damage (on average 100 hits) and everybody else around the super-* is going to be taking x5. Since it's hard to get over a x8 soak, this guy is going to be pretty overpowered against most heroes.Harrigan wrote:Sure thing.

Bearded Dork- I generally agree with letting it be Push instead of Special Attack- that's the way I'd build it.
It should also be pointed out that LINKED specifically says that the two powers MUST have the same Area & Range.
However, in this case, as a Narrator, I would make an exception and allow it with the following caveat:
You would only roll damage once. The original target would take Rollx8 damage, the secondary targets would take Rollx5 damage (and of course, because it is a Burst, they could roll to dodge out of the way for half/third/zero damage).
So for example The attack hits the target and the roll is 8. So the target takes 64 damage, while the secondary targets in the Burst would take 40 damage each (and could make an Athletics/Acrobatics or Defense roll of 20 to take only 20, a 30 to take only 13, or a 40 to take 0).

Yeah, I know that technically the equipment-type weapons aren't built with the power-rules, but it's a good exercise for me to wrap my head around how those rules can be used to differentiate things in pretty subtle ways. When I write them up I'll ditch the power-stuff (like Gadget, Easy to Take) and see how they look.
For the big massive blows that I had as a pair of linked Special Attack powers, I'm actually thinking now that it might just be easiest to put Area on the main attack. The intention isn't to have the subject of the attack hit twice, it's to have a Hulk-like strike blast everyone in an area. And it's supposed to be overpowered.
...and in just reading the Push power, maybe that's in fact where I'll head. Hmm.
