Combat Options

Post by bigsteveuk »

Hi,

I am just trying to see how this compares to M&M and I was wondering apart from straight shooting, blasting, hitting each other what types of combat options/manoeuvres/tactics are available?

You know surprise attacks, trips, disarm etc.

I would love to see some battle scenarios like they do on the M&M website.

Cheers,

I am a big proponent of their being lots of Combat Options in games, as it gives the players options instead of "I hit him".

There are definitely Combat Options in BASH UE! Alley Oop! Take the Hit! Disarm! A bunch of Wrestling moves and more!

But there is always room for more :)

As for a combat display, check out the Superbrawl forum at the bottom of the main list, the Round Robin tournament is underway for the Heavy Weight Championship title of BASH! ;)

Called Shot is how you do a lot of fun things, like trips, knocking a pile of crates on top of someone, disarms, or just called shots for extra damage or to hit specific parts, etc.

These "Combat Scenarios" you mention- are these essentially scenes with a villain or two also with some sort of interesting thing to throw in from the area where it is going on?

Like for instance- you are fighting a giant squid in a chamber that is filling with water? The book does have several things like this (Silver Age section "Death Traps"). It might be cool to start posting some more up here, maybe with specific enemies.
