Hey again, guys!
Are these powers built correctly?
Mental Paralysis: Immobilize 3 (30 Mind Check, Mid Range, Enhancement: Target Uses Mind to Escape), 6 pts.
Protect Minds: Mind Shield 1 (+2 Mental Defense, Enhancement: Usable on Others, Enhancement: Medium Burst), 5 pts.
Psi-Bolts: Mind Spikes 4 (Enhancement: Usable on Others, Enhancement: Mid Range, Limitation: Does Not Work Defensively), 7 pts.
Best,
Dragonfly

Just use "Daze" for Mental Paralysis. That's what it is meant to do.
For your "Mind Spikes" thing- I am addressing this directly in the New printing with an alternate power to Mind Spikes which is:

Alternate Power: Mind Blast
Damage wise, Mind Blast works exactly like Mind Spikes. It
does not have the Personal or Sustained properties, but instead
is an attack with the Ranged and Concentration property. To
“hit” you must roll Mind against the target’s Defense.

Thanks, BASHMAN. I keep failing to grasp the full measure of what Daze can be used for. I'm not saying that's a problem with the rules, mind you - just a limitation on my part. The name makes me think of the old Flash power from Champions (which models things like being blinded), but I've recently come to realize that Confusion is better for THAT effect, while Daze is better for sleep spells, mental paralysis, stun attacks, and even disrupting machines.BASHMAN wrote:Just use "Daze" for Mental Paralysis. I'll get it eventually!

Yeah- Daze can be pretty versatile. In fact, I used to use it for any "Mind Blast" sort of power instead of actually doing any damage with it. (Instead of taking an action, the guy holds his temples and says "get out of my HEAD!")
I also use it for "turn undead" since Daze can be enhanced to be repulsive.

Turning Undead?! Brilliant! Seriously, I like this versatility. I just need to get more creative with it.BASHMAN wrote:Yeah- Daze can be pretty versatile.
