Since this is CuMorrig's art thread, I thought I'd share some kick * stuff he did for me. Back when I ran my "Plague of Darkness" one shot, CuMorrig did some of the art for the bad guys, and he did an awesome job too. I see he never posted them here, so I thought I'd show off the stuff he did for the game.
First up is an alien cruiser used by the bad guys. It was based on both the Vorlon and Shadow cruisers from Babylon 5:
One of the main parts of the game was a moon sized being that was wrecking havoc. Named Tal Z'agoth, this being was controlled by the Malevolent entity known as The Elder Thing. It's massive eye could fire beams that would wipe out all life on a planet, then fire a second beam that would bring them back as zombies enslaved to it's master:
Like I said, kick * art!

I don't know about those, since I never played Spelljammer (or D&D for some time). I had him take the basic frame of a Vorlon ship, and add a lot of tentacles, which was more akin to the Shadow vessels in B5. Their ships are all organic, and he colored it red to give it a more sinister look.Dustland wrote:The first reminds me of the squidships from Spelljammer
Which reminds me! I need to commission an image of the aliens who pilot the ship from him when I get the chance. I knew I forgot something!

Your welcome CuMorrig; as I said, i need to get you a commission for the aliens who pilot the ships for me as well.CuMorrig wrote:Glad you like the ships! You'll have to talk to Urbwar about the module of course.
Oh, and thanks for posting those Urbwar.
BASHMAN: as I stated in my thread in open, I suck at writing adventures. I use a single page of notes for the ones I run, and improv off the players (who really make the adventures what they are). I tried writing out my earlier one, and it came out pretty bad. I want to release something with the art CuMorrig did for me, but just don't think I can write a decent enough module that people would want to buy.

I dunno. A few people have wanted to partner with me before, and I can always see that we'd end up clashing over stuff, and get nothing done. Besides, I'll never improve writing wise if I have help like that (imho). Anyway, this isn't the thread for that though!BASHMAN wrote:Hmmm. Maybe you'd be interested in teaming up with someone then.
On topic: I just sent CuMorring a commission for the aliens who pilot those organic starships. I'm sure when he gets it done, he'll post it here for people to marvel at
