Hey guys,
I was fooling around with the lifting rules and came up with the following:

Let me know what you think. I welcome any and all criticism and feedback (as long as it's constructive).
Best,

P.S. I haven't quite finished the document. I still need to add the "real world examples" on the first table. Still, I figured I could get some good feedback before finalizing my work.
Best,

In the series, Giant-Man has normal human strength until he grows. Upon growing, however, he can lift something as heavy as a ship (and chuck it at Graviton). To me, that means that Giant-Man has a Brawn 1 that gets augmented once he activates his size increase. The problem is that while Growing in BASH UE grants a +5 Result Modifier per level to Brawn related checks, lifting isn’t handled through such checks. By the rules, then, Growing doesn’t actually affect what a character can lift.
A quick point- Growing DOES affect what you can lift.
Your weight is also greatly increased by
growing, but you can lift one half your weight (or the amount indicated by Brawn if it is higher).
So if you have Growing 5, you can lift a MINIMUM of 75 Tons. That's like a Brawn of 4, bordering on 5.
By the normal rules, you don't usually roll to lift something though- the benchmarks tell you what you can lift. If you want to specify, though, you can require rolls for someone trying to push their limits.

Doh!
That shows you how rusty I am!
Seriously, I scanned that power description and just didn't see what I was looking for. Maybe I'm less rusty and more senile. At 41 tht's scary!
Anyway, I might finish work on these ruls anyway. Growing issue (or non-issue) aside, I kind of like the notion of a system for rolling to lift beyond your limits. It makes things more dramatic.

Hey fellas,
I edited my lifting rules to correct the error I made with regards to the Growing power.
I've also added a few real world examples to the chart.
I'll probably post this link over in my House Rules thread when I reorganize that with an index.
As always, let me know what you think of this, if you get a chance.
Best,
