Does Weapon Technique (WT) unarmed affect wrestling? If you have +2 DM to hit WT, can you add +2 DM to your Brawn to grab? What if you also have Martial Arts (grappling)? Would your Brawn effectively be +1 DM compared to your opponent (for MA) plus another +2 DM for WT?

At my table it would only be allowed for punches & kicks, etc. Grappling style MAM is for wrestling.
But each Narrator can decide for themselves.

I could see Weapon Technique bought specifically for Wrestling, though.

Yeah, maybe that. If you put points "to hit" it would be for making the initial grapple I suppose, and points for damage would be for any rolls that would result in damage.

Or your to hit technique points could apply to original to hit [to establish the Grab], and any of the control rolls - any subsequent [ex: for Grab, Carry, Disarm, Restrain, Block With]. While you Damage Technique points only apply to incidents when your Wrestling does damage.

Yeah, I'd buy that.

I also house rule that initial Wrestling contest such that each combatant roll their choice of Brawn or agility to even things out. My one worry with this is that it allows a wrestler to dominate if they can get a hold on anyone. I always like the idea, that spiderman or wolverine could hold their own against the hulk by evasion or slipping out of the hulk's grapple.

The new printing wrestling rules were updated to fix this problem. Now you need Brawn and Agility.
