SHATTERED - a linked power build question

I wanted to "vet" this power idea. It was sorta "buried" in one of my COSMIC character builds. You can see the whole build here: Frozen-Man.

But here's what I'm looking for... Does this power seem "right". Is it built fairly (and cost correct) by the rules? Or is there another way to DO what my goal/idea is?
"SHATTERED" [TOTAL COST: 13pts]
(Daze) Close Rng 5 sq, Large Burst Area 10x10 sq [6pts];
LINKED: (Shape-Shifting) rearrange Brawn/Agility pts [2pts];
L: Ice Crystal shape: may only reduce pool to 0, receive 2pts of Immunities as Ice Crystals [-1pts];
E: Affects Others (Rng Atk); Close Range 5 sq [1pts];
E: Annihilation - x2 collateral dmg, ignores -5DM for Grid objects [5pts].

Daze + [LINKED] Shape-Shifting with Affects Others
I imagined one of the main powers of this villain would be to use his Cold Mastery to literally flash freeze the bones and sinews of an enemy - then cracking that opponent into several thousand little bits and pieces!

This is definately a bizarre "Kirby-esque" style attack and outcome. Something that lasts for the scene but actually doesn't "kill" the opponent like you'd think it would.
Since his powers are COSMIC and I wasn't creating a character that was a 100% killer - I decided that the power would flash freeze and crack the opponent for the scene and then after (or when Frozen-Man chooses) the opponent "re-assembles" back into the form they were formerly.
Hence - using Shape-Change with Affects Others, and a limitation that the "stat change" is only to Brawn & Agility 0, with the points funneled into Immunities of the villain's choice (or is it the affected person's choice?).

And, if I'm correct, per the attack to hit rules - the attack would be a 2D6 single roll for two effects...
the "DAZE" (x Mind) vs. opponents Mind.
and as well...
the "Affects Others SHAPE-SHIFTING" (x Agility) vs. opponents Defense.

With that... is that correct as well - do LINKED powers that are attack powers "go off" at the same time with only one attack action?

sooooooo..... Yep... it's a bizarre and maybe complex power idea.
thoughts?

I don't think this works the way you think it does. Having a stat of 0 still allows you to act normally, you're just very weak (or dumb struck, uncoordinated, etc). You still get to roll 1d6 if you use the stat at 0, it explodes on a 6, and you can still move, use powers, etc.

I would think Immobilization (5) linked with Weaken (5, Brawn) would give you the results you're after; the target can't move (because he's now a bunch of ice) and isn't very likely to recover immediately (because he's rolling Brawn with a -5 dice penalty vs target 50) but he isn't taking damage so won't die from the attack.

Of course the target can still use Mind based powers, but could still do so the way you built the power too. I don't know how you get around that (nor do I think it should be possible) with one power.

Hope that helps.

Hey! Good comments!
My thought is just this... getting other's takes on the idea. Seeing why others interpret the rules differently (and as bonus, seeing if I'm interpreting them incorrectly!). And also looking for new ideas on how to build the power block.

So yeah!
Thanks.
You may be right about that. I'll re-read and rethink, then post a reply later... to discuss more if you (and others) can offer more help.

BASH! is so neat (to me) because you CAN come at the same problem from different angles (in power choices) to get similar (if not same) and/or slightly different definitions/descriptions of the way the rules play out.

I'm highly interested in PUSHING the rules to see which ones and how they could possibly work. All in effort to gain the most elegant method (even if my first attempt is semi-complex). I still like seeing if it CAN work fairly by the rules, before I go to a different default.

Good thoughts!
thanks again
Anyone else wanna weigh in as I ponder?
