Duplication - all Dupes have only 1 HIT?

The player wants ALL her dupes to always ONLY have 1 HIT, not split equally like the base power.

Would that be a Limitation? Or in some way (that I'm not aware of the benefit) rather be an Enhancement?

So I thought of giving her a Limitation that no matter how many dupes she has out they will all only have One HIT. They already function as minions (per the power and minion rules).

The only problem I see with this (as I wrote it before) is that it could allow her to have all her HITS then also have each dupe have HITS too (even though it's only 1) which would be over the rules limit of 100 HITS for a character.
So... Instead, I would change that Limitation to each dupe having One HIT each, and it reduces her primary character's HITS by one per dupe. That would make it fair/even at 100 HITS overall no matter how many dupes.

I think I was originally mistaken with my build at first. I originally wrote that the "primary" character kept her full HITS, while each Dupe got 1 - that's unfair and against the rules, because it allows the player to have a character with 100 HITS and then more dupes with HITS. Taking her OVER 100 HITS. That's not right.

I suggested changing that to have the primary character have 100 HITS, then for each Dupe she makes (that has 1 HIT) the primary IS reduced by one. Making it so that the player of the character never has more than 100 HITS between any/all the Player Character (her primary and all dupes).

That seems to me in the same spirit of the rules - that normally split the HITS equally.
Does that not sound fair, correct and in spirit of the rules?

Alternatively.... a friend suggested I just build this idea with Summoning instead of Duplication.
thanks

I think that should be some sort of enhancement. She's essentially getting to be herself with 96 Hits, and have for 1Hit minions walking around. The risk of splitting into 5 bodies is a lot less that way.

That's a good point. Having 4 one-hit minions running all over the city doing chores while the main character stays behind as a practically full-combat ready contender is a real advantage over the traditional Duplicator power. I got to admit, however, that I really like the idea!

hehe.... it was my girlfrie... errr... my player's idea! :P
Seriously... I liked the idea too. So I took BASHMAN's advice and switched it up to make it an Enhancement for her character, as I agree (setting back to see) that it does give an advantage.
Still... I do think it's a "balanced" (or fair rather) idea for an Enhancement, since her primary hero has "lost" those HITS unless "re-absorbing" the clone... but if a clone gets hit at all - it's just gone as is that HIT point.

I plan to use all these cosmic characters in a potential 3rd party cosmic setting/adventure in the future... So you'll see a version of that.
Then again, I could see making another fun character (or villain) with that as a base power to jump from too. It's a fun idea to play with.
