Ammo Gadget and Elemental Conjuring and Mastery questions

I'm getting ready to run my first game Thursday, and have a few questions:
1) For the Ammo Gadget limitations in the core book, is there a particular default "setting" for the Ammunition aspect, or choose what seems appropriate for the power? The core book says that ammunition acts as Burn-Out, Charges, or Finite (plus single use as well), but the write-ups don't designate one of the four choices *'. Just curious if I missed something.
2) Am I right in assuming that conjuring an element (earth, fire, ice, etc.) "only" conjures said element? I.E. one cannot conjure an "ice sword".
3) I would assume [dangerous, I know ] conjuring an element falls under the simple object description, so shouldn't there be another level above Level 5, otherwise, why ever take level 5?
4) If I wanted an Ice Sword, would a proper way to do so be Conjure 2, then Mastery 1 to "carve" the ice into a sword?
