If Immobilize is in a multipower, does the Immobilization evaporate when you use another power in the multipower? Or do you need to keep Immobilization selected in order to hold someone?
Confusion gives a penalty to Agility. Can you modify it to give a penalty to Brawn or Mind? So Mind effect could be like tear gas preventing someone for seeing or focusing. Brawn effect could be something beyoond my imagination right now.
thanks

Yes. So if you want to be able to use the other powers in the multi-power while someone is immobilized, it cannot be part of the multi-power. Same goes for Daze, Confusion, Conjuring, etc.If Immobilize is in a multipower, does the Immobilization evaporate when you use another power in the multipower? That's interesting! I always assumed otherwise. My reasoning was that since damage taken from a Special Attack in a multi-power doesn't disappear when another power in the multi-power is activated, the effect of an immobilize wouldn't either (or a Daze, or Confusion, etc.).BASHMAN wrote:Yes. I'm not complaining, mind you. This just caught me off guard. Good to know!

So what does go away? Does continuous damage go away if you switch it off in a multipower?

This is bizarre.
It seems to me that any power that is a hit and forget type effect would NOT go away. Why would a Daze or Confusion go away? Unless a character bought it with a "Limitation: Maintained".
I'd question that if I'm Narrating. Can you give a reason as to why? I'm happy being wrong. But I'd like to know the reason just in case.

Well maybe I was a little hasty. Thinking about the Maintained property- it does make sense that if the power doesn't have that, that it shouldn't automatically turn off.
My rational for it was that if Multi-Power is a 1pt enhancement, that it's somewhat also a limitation in itself because you have two choose between the powers in that pool at once. If you have Flight and Energy Blast in the same multi-power, and you are in mid air- you should drop out of the sky when you do the blast.
But that is an issue with Flight being Maintained or Sustained- not with the energy blast itself.
So I'd say it's a Narrator's Call- and I can see an argument for doing it either way.

Cool! My players will be much happier with this call, and I am too. As "kevperrine" said, if it's an "attack, effect, forget" arrangement, then the effect should last. Forcefields, Flight, etc. SHOULD go down when the multipower slot is switched. Leaving it up to narrator call is probably the best policy.BASHMAN wrote:Well maybe I was a little hasty. Thanks for clearing that up!

Agreed. I was thinking that if EITHER power was in the category of it being a problem with Maintained/Sustained that there would be problems.
Essentially I'd think you have to pay attention to the realistic image of the situation. If it doesn't "fit", and the player is just trying to get a price break on the power to be Linked/Maintained... then it's breaking the concept and should NOT work in-game like that. However, if it fits the concept - Go for it.
As with flight... I'm thinking of Sam Gunthrie "Cannonball". In the beginning he was never able to channel blasts at all. Then (I believe) later he learned to use his blasting offensively... but I still don't think (that I recall) he ever was able to both fly and blast at the same time. So his powers COULD be Multi-powered.
When in comparison... Superman (or most other flying/blasters) are not and cannot be built as a Multi-power. Big blue's heat vision is clearly a separate power to his flight.
