Extended checks to break daze, immobilize, etc

the game has rules for making extended skill checks, but breaking out of daze and such is all or nothing.

What about allowing foes to break out over time. Add the rolls until you finally break out. You'd have to have the difficulty be higher than the standard power.

This would be better against powerful foes who could break out in one round normally, but worse against weak foes who could not normally break out.

I'm thinking raise the difficulty by 10. So Daze would require a cumulative 30 to break out.

That's a good idea. Maybe make it an Enhancement- and I'd make it a 40 cumulative result needed!

Maybe call it "Extended Escape" and it adds +20 to the difficulty but changes it to an extended check.
