Need help creating a cosmic level power
Ok,
I need some help coming up with the right power for my Cosmic one shot villain. Basically, he can reanimate the dead in large quantities, so that in a short period of time, he is able to turn the dead of an entire race into servants for his mission.
Initially, I considered giving him the cosmic power of Life, but since they're undead, that doesn't seem right. I considered summoning, with the summoned creatures being able to reanimate the bodies (ala Starro's creations taking control of a living person). The alternate power of Animation, or X Mastery (with the mastery being Supernatural, limited to undead).
I'm considering maybe making this power rated "Beyond" due to the massive scale this being does this on. I just figured I'd throw this out there, and see what people might suggest before making a final decision

Animation 5 (or more...) (Limit: only affects corpses, Enhancement: Area Huge Burst) Cost 8pts (or more...)
Off screen he can push this power to animate larger areas, and have plenty of time to recover, or he has all the time he needs off screen to go about animating the dead.
As a plot hook, you may say there is an object that is enhancing this power to affect entire dead planets. This way, he can face your heroes with the regular power, summoning corpses from the ground, and still raise entire armies while preparing.

Of course, the simplest solution seems best.BASHMAN wrote:I'd say:
Animation Beyond Rating [Limitation: Only affects corpses; Enhancement: Space]
So he could raise all the dead on an entire planet if he wanted to!
Just wondering why the enhancement Space is added? Is that so it affects the whole planet?

Yes- it's so you can use grids instead of squares to measure area.urbwar wrote:Of course, the simplest solution seems best.BASHMAN wrote:I'd say:

Ok, so I'm thinking of the power he uses to wipe out a planet's population.
Here's the basics I have, but any suggestions are appreciated, as I want to make sure I use the right enhancements, etc:
Special Attack 5 (Enhancement: Annihilation, Space. Limitation: only vs sentient life forms)
Now, I'm debating giving this levels in Arc, unless space covers that. Also, if I have the space enhancement, do I still need to purchase Range?

Yeah, I was thinking there was a -5 to hit objects in Grids, but I see it is a -5 DM, so you're right, I don't need it. I also made the mistake of not making the Special Attack a Beyond Rating.BeardedDork wrote:Why annihilation if it only affects Sentient life, since annihilation only really affects collateral damage, which you aren't doing? You need to put points into range otherwise you are making a melee attack that destroys the planet, I think.
So let's see if this works better:
Special Attack Beyond Rating (enhancement: Area (Large Burst), Range (Extreme Range), Space limitation: Burn -Out, Only affects sentient beings)
