Armor piercing attacks
I wonder if there is a way to make attack powers "armor piercing" (i.e. get through defenses easier). In 4e Champions there was advantage by this name that made defenses against an offensive power only 1/2 effective. And I was wondering if there might be a way to do this in BASH.
One thought I had was to take the intense training power, attack weak point and use it as a power enhancement (and say, lower the cost to 1 pt. to reflect it's application to only that one power vs. all powers that are allowed by the previous). That would seem to work appropriately.
Any thoughts on this?

Talked to bashman about this before, for normal guns. Im sure it works just as well for powers. Enhancement "Extra Effect": +2DM vs. Armor and/or forcefields. Depending on the GM it could be seperate enhancement or together.

Aha! Makes sense! I'm building my Cat powered pc, Ocelot, and he has claws. And I'm toying with making them have such an effect. So, thanks!DeaconAbyss wrote:Talked to bashman about this before, for normal guns. Im sure it works just as well for powers. Enhancement "Extra Effect": +2DM vs. Armor and/or forcefields. Armor Piercing?
Have you looked at Pierce Armor (BASH: Sci-Fi, page 17). Seems like the simplest way to do it to me. It may or may not need to be Linked (2pts, BUE38).
I’ve also added . Semi-Armor Piercing: Can be treated as a new Power that costs 2pts and reduces Soak by 1/4th. It cannot be combined with Pierce Armor power.
The problem with the way Champions does it is that it is so cheap it becomes a bidding war. I buy Armor Piercing, they buy Hardened, I buy double Armor Piercing, they buy double Hardened, etc. It just makes it completely pointless.
