Special Attack & Push

So now that I got my main guy Boost almost to where I want him, I'm thinking up ideas for other guys, perhaps a whole team of sorts. One I'm thinking of is an incredibly strong character and as one of his powers I was thinking of a hard hitting attack that sends a character flying. Is it acceptable to Link Special Attack & Push together? If so would you roll twice, once for damage and once for knock back, or would you roll once and apply the multipliers separately? Hope this makes sense... The attack would basically be a Hulk scaled upper-cut.

It has been suggested that when you link two attack powers, you can roll the dice once and then apply the two multipliers to it individually. So you'd roll 2d6 to attack, and multiply that by your attack multiplier for Special Attack to see if that hits, and by the attack multiplier for Push to see if that hits. If either or both powers hit, then you'd roll 2d6 for damage and multiply that by your Special Attack's DM (if it hit) to determine damage, and by your Push's DM (if it hit) to determine knockback.

I don't see why you couldn't link the two powers together (I sure wouldn't want to get hit by that guy!)

I'd say roll once; there's no real reason to slow down the action by having a character rolling multiple times during their turn unless they have to (imo). I think this is supported by the knockback rules for normal attacks anyway (you don't roll twice).

Thanks for the quick replies. Thats pretty much along the lines of what I was thinking as well.

Check out my character Malatok who has a magic hammer that does exactly what you described :)
