To Stretch or Not To Stretch

Concept: a Robot character who can change his arms into huge masses of electrically charged wires that he can shoot at Range 1 to Immobilize and (linked with) Constant Damage his foes. The wires stay attached to the robot at his shoulders, thus the power has the limitation of Immobile. Since I've added Range 1 to the linked powers, would I need to somehow add Stretching to represent that it's his arms that are constricting and damaging while still connected to him?

Does what I'm asking make sense?

I don't think Stretching is necessary UNLESS you intend for the arms to perform other functions, like grabbing and manipulating objects at a distance.

If all you're creating is a ranged attack with a unique descriptor, I think you're good to go.

If he can't use his arms while he's sing this power on someone, just use that as a situational limitation (i.e. only lasts as long as his arms remain touching the foe).

Thanks for the clarification!
