BASH! UE Example of Combat

I originally posted this on rpg.net in answer to somebody's request, but thought I'd share it here for you folks as well:
I didn't have a ready made character like you wanted- so I made up "Redbat", a jaded loner trained to physical perfection, using an array of gadgets to fight crime. He is based on the "Master Crimefighter" Archetype from BASH! UE.
Page 1.
After obtaining a tip from one of his underworld contacts, Redbat has decided to check out Astron Labs to see if the rash of technology thefts will strike there next.He hears a noise and decides to get the drop on them
Redbat is using Stealth/MOve Silently, creeping along the wall to approach the thieves. He rolls 6 (4,2) and rolls again (because Move Silently is his specialty in Stealth skill) and gets 11 (5, 6). He has a x3 multiplier in stealth, giving him a result of 33. With superhuman stealth, Redbat moves to the corner, where he can view what's going on.
Reaching the corner unnoticed, Redbat sees a group of five theives loading up a black van with boxes from the lab. It looks like that tip he obtained was on the money. Time for action!

Redbat knows the simplest way to stop these crooks is with a flashbang. Fortunately his utility belt has them, as well as many other useful devices.
He tosses a Flashbang around the corner, going for the goons who are the furthest away. He knows they are spread too far apart for him to get all five, so he decides to get the ones who are furthest away.
He rolls a Mind check, as he is using the Confusion power- which gives him a mental attack vs. the victims. Redbat is a genius- so he has a Mind of 3. His roll is 7 (6, 1) x3 = 21, easily beating these goons' mental defense of 7. In BASH! the GM (called "Narrator") doesn't roll dice for minions most of the time, instead they just take 7 on most of their rolls.
The remaining crooks rush him... exactly like he predicted they would! They're about to get more than they bargained for! Redbat is a master of every form of martial arts known to man!
Redbat must make 3 defense rolls against the crooks, each wielding what appears to be a crowbar!
First roll- Double 3s. This does 2 things. 1. the dice exploid when you roll doubles. On his next die, Redbat gets a 1, giving him a roll of 7. 2- Because he rolled doubles on his defense against a hand-to-hand attack, One of his Martial Arts allows Redbat a free counter-attack (treating his defense roll as his attack). 7x4 = 28, easily hitting that crook! Not only does he hit, but because he hit by 20, (the crook has a defense of 7) this triggers Redbat's ability of "Attack Weak Point" meaning his attack does double damage. The damage roll is 7x2 = 14x2 = 28, easily knocking out this robber (he had 10 Hits, 5 Soak).
Second defense roll- 5. Because of his Defensive Martial Arts style mastery, his defense is x4, giving Redbat a 20, evading the robber's attack of 14.
Third defense, a 9 x4 = 36, again easily avoiding the attack.
Page 2 ends with Redbat having knocked out one robber, and temporarily incapacitated two more with his flash-bang.
Page 3
No longer having surprise, Redbat must roll for priority. He his mastery of the "Fast Style" martial art (in his case, Cobra Kung-Fu) gives him a boost to his Priority multiplier, raising it to x3. He rolls and gets 5 x3 = 15, allowing him to go first (the robbers all go on 7). Even though it is impossible for him to roll less than 7, the Narrator is making Redbat roll anyway so that if another character were to suddenly show up, they could act in the Priority order (he has him roll even if another character isn't showing up so that he won't tip his hand on the times when a new character appears).
With one robber down, and two wavering, Redbat opts t deftly move between them. No roll is necessary for this, and there are no opportunity attacks (this game doesn't have them).
Then Redbat lays into the badguys with his trademark tonfas. His attack is a 6 x3 = 18, easily beating the robber's defense of 7. He rolls for damage and gets a pair of 5s. Doubles again. In the end, the sum of his dice is 12 x5 (his Tonfa's do +3 Damage Multiplier to his base Brawn of 2) = 60 damage (he's out like a light).
When Fighting minions, Heroes employ a rule called "The Domino Effect" which allows them to continue taking down minions as long as they finish the previous one off. So Redbat rolls another attack. 11 x3 = 33, also triggering "Attack Weak Point" because he beat the defense by 20. He rolled 9 x5 = 45 x2 = 90! Again, this minion goes down like a sack of cement.
The Domino effect lets Redbat keep attacking. His roll of 9 (x3 = 27, again triggering attack weak point) and 11 for damage (11 x5 x2 = 110!) ensure that there is now only one minion left standing... still staggering from the flashbang! Because Redbat cannot reach any enemies with a hand-to-hand attack, the domino effect ends.
The robber overcome by the flashbang tries to regain his composure, but the narrator rolls a 3 (1, 2) which is the *worst* possible roll in BASH! since a pair of 1s would count as doubles and allow another die (although most of the time, Minion's dice don't exploid, in situations where their *only chance* hinges on the dice exploding, an exception is made). To end the Confusion, the minion needs a 20 Mind check- which is very unlikely on 2d6 x1, even with exploding dice allowed.
And there it is- a Master Crimefighter dealing with five hoodlums in 4 pages.Page 4.
Seeing the robber before him stumbling, half blind, but conscious, Redbat decides instead of attacking he's going to find out what they're up to. Redbat has the "Frightening PResence" advantage. He walks up to the staggering robber, grabs him by the collar, and lifts him off the ground, snarling: "Who do you work for? Tell me!"
He rolls and gets a 5 x5 (His mind of 3 +2 for Frightening Presence) = 25. The robber rolls double 2s (this is an exception, allowing him to explode) followed by a 5. But that still only gives him a Mind check of 9, miserably failing to steel his resolve against the legendary presence of Redbat- who he just half-saw through his tearing eyes beat down his four partners in the span of 2 seconds... His fear of Redbat, hear and now, has overcome his fear of any future punishment his boss might give.
The robber talks, "It was Burn Cycle! He told us to take this new accelerant down to his hideout at the docks! Please don't hurt me! Just don't let Burn Cycle know I told you! He's crazy!"
