I'm confused by knockback

does knockback apply to any attacks or just those in which "super strength" is a factor? The RAW seem a little vague on this point to me.

Well the rules also say "Don't use KB when it doesn't make sense", i.e. a rapier thrust won't send you flying through a wall.

You can apply KB w/o super strength, but it usually doesn't come up unless you are. Essentially unless the attack is doing x4 DM or more, I don't bother- but by RAW you can use it for less damaging attacks.

That's kind of what I figured but as an admin for a fan-site devoted to a different more complicated game, I'm used to dissecting rules, and there are a number of ways that section could be (validly) interpreted.
