(Relatively) Good News Everyone! Release 1.04 of www.BASHCreator.net is up!

Mostly little tweaks and bug fixes this time:
  • * Add Custom Advantage and Custom Disadvantage.
    * Fix missing descriptive text for 'Multi-Power (Same Power Suite)' enhancement (plus bug in checking allowable points in Multi-power).
    * Limit Deflect power to Level 3 (used to incorrectly go up to Level 5).
    * Fix Martial Arts Mastery power costs; were 1/3/5, corrected to 1/2/3.
    * Use maximum of Agility or Growth power level to figure running, swinging, gliding, and hovering speeds. (Yup, strictly speaking, big characters hover faster.)
    * Add the two missing 2pt versions of Weapon Technique power.
    * Boost (Mind) and Boost (Agility) now do not affect how many skill slots the character has (although it still affects their multiplier).
    * Add To Hit numbers to Immobilization power.
    * Fix Summoning and Summoning (Animation) powers; did not have them set as Concentration powers.
    * Remove some superfluous parentheses from enhancement and limitation text in character sheets.
    * Can now include HTML tags in Free Text.
    * Fix a few typos (Trample power text, etc.).

So I forgot to save my characters. I did post them on the boards. Is there anyway to retrieve them?

Unfortunately, if you didn't Export your character or Save To Link, then the data is lost. :(

Fortunately if they are still on the board, it's pretty easy to re-create them.

Release V1.04 will be last update for a while

Release 1.04 for www.BASHCreator.net will be the last release for a while. The site's about 95% complete as far as covering the core rules (not including the Cosmic rules and a few things like weapons and vehicles/HQs), which is what I think the majority of us actually use in play. The customization powers also supply basic support for extensions like the Cosmic rules and the new stuff from the Awesome Powers line.

One of the goals of this project was to improve my technical skills, and it's been great for that. I'm now a lot more confident with the using the Aurelia framework for the client-side code. I now want to learn more about the new ASP.NET Core MVC framework and the Web API for the back end of the site. Once I figure out how that works, I'll be able to come back to BASHCreator and expand it the way that I want to - with better organisation, support for Cosmic powers, the Awesome Powers line, user accounts where you can save and organise your creations, and a few other features that are not supported yet.

So I hope you continue to find the site useful - it's not going anywhere. (if you find any critical bugs, let me know.) I'll report in with progress reports now and then, and hopefully a few months from now I'll be able to start demoing pieces of BASHCreator V2.

Fantastic resource - I just whipped up a set of PCs for an upcoming game. The Creator made it easy, fast and fun ...

Great Caesar's Ghost, I sound like an advertisement, but it's true!

Thanks for creating it, O' Devastating One!

My players and I still use the BASH creator and recommend it to other people. I actually made a list of material that was left out, maybe I should post it here.
