Basic Action Super Heroes!

While reading through the rules, I noticed that "gut" is one of the specialties for both the Investigation and Streetwise skills. I'm curious to know how people have been playing that. For example, if someone has Investigation/Gut, would they just look at a crime scene and (providing they roll successfully) say, "My gut tells me the killer was a woman!" whereas a person with Investigation/Finding Clues would say, "Look at these footprints! Too small for a man but too large for a child!"? The former borders a bit too much on some sort of psychic ability for me, so how have others handled it?
