BASH Character Sheet PDF

I remember BASHMAN once putting up a character sheet as an image that looked pretty damned snazzy... but when printed out it was kind of blurry due to being a JPG image.
So today, when putting together characters for the one-shot I'm running next weekend, I decided to make it into a PDF so that it printed out as nice as it looked on screen. Took a couple of liberties, but it should be recognisable from the original... just scalable

Apparently attachments don't work for me... so here is a
link to the download with BASH logo and
one without (so you can add your own)

And I got bored tonight so I finished it up as a form-fillable PDF.
The two image areas (top-left & portrait box) can have an image loaded into it... but due to artificial Acrobat Reader limitations - you need to convert them to PDF first. On Mac OSX, this is an option from the built-in Preview application but on Windows you need to use something like IrfanView for it. Sorry - nothing I can do about that one...
Here's a picture preview of a filled out form:
And here's
the link to the PDF itself.

Well, it IS based off a character sheet template you put up a few years ago - I reckon it should be good
It doesn't do awesome stuff like calculate Character Points and so on for you like some of the spreadsheets I've seen around, but it does make for a nice looking character sheet when printed out. I only whipped it up in Scribus (Open Source desktop publishing software) and can give folks the source for that if they want it.
I'm thinking of running the one-shot I'm doing Saturday again at the local game shop as a BASH demo on their RPG night. I find having neat/clean character sheets to hand out gets people into the game quicker... so PDF form time

Thanks for setting up this character sheet as form-fillable. What kind of image file is needed for the picture sections?

Great looking sheet! Any chance of making one that lists villain dice instead of hero dice (for the bad guys)?

That would probably depend on what software you're using to edit the pdf. I can confirm though that it will work with png and tif files, so I'm assuming it would also work with jpg and gif files as well

Did it for myself really, just put it up for everyone else to share as well

I mentioned it in the original post, but I'll elaborate because it took me by surprise as well.
The Adobe Reader application will only allow embedding
PDF files as images. As such, any images need to be converted to PDF first.
On Mac OSX, you can do this by opening the image in Preview (default, built-in image view for the platform) and exporting it as PDF (from the File menu). This is what I do as I do most my stuff on the MacBookPro.
On Windows, you can install IrfanView (free image viewer software)
and it's plugins (essential for PDF export) then open the image in IrfanView then "Save As" a PDF. minor hint, if doing it this way - make sure to turn off the security in the settings of the exporter

I suggest using CABAReT Stage 5.1 to edit the pdf to import art. That's what I use, and it's free. You don't need anything else to edit the pdf. It will allow you to put in image files, add text, and then save it all as a new pdf. You can go back and edit it as many times as you need to with the software.
Looks like they are up to version 6.0 now
